You don't get charged tax unless the store you're ordering from has a physical location (brick & mortar) in your state.

states are complaining about the lost income when ppl buy out of state. technically people are supposed to report those when filling taxes, but majority of them dont so now states are lobbying to have congress pass law that says taxes must be charged even if buying out of state
