really? i actually like the newer ones better

I'd say TTS for wide footers, .5 down for normal or narrow footers

"normal" pairs, yes. Ones that are leather lined, typically .5 down.

how are the BOG pair in person? hows the leather and everything? haven't seen anyone on here post pictures of that pair yet. the 698s seem to be more popular. more people got those. and most people seem pleased with it. i love my pair in person. wondering how the people that got the BOGs feel about them since they received them in

Bog are ok, imo. I have been rocking items extremely well done leather wise so to me they seem a little plastic like. I like them but they are definitely not anything to rave over.
I have been spoiled by wearing Wades and NBs so maybe I had too high of expectations.
I was going to grab the BOG Castenadas Mens Brown Leather but now I'm sort of debating.

I have the light brown pair of that pack and the quality is great for the money. I don't know about the dark brown pair but the light brown can be found for way below retail.
