I use it as face lotion. And put it on my hair after I shower.
Anyone use CoConut Oil as "lotion."
Someone explained to me once that if you can eat it, you shouldn't be putting it on your skin.
That is overstated. I use coconut oil on everything, never have oil stains on anything. It goes into the skin pretty quickly honestly.I want to put some coconut oil in my haor and on my hands but like it was mentioned I don't want oil stains on my clothes and furniture. I bought some organic, refined stuff but not a fan of the smell.
You find that coconut oil in the cooking section?
Yeah, this is a great brand for coconut oil.http://www.walmart.com/ip/Carrington-Farms-Organic-Coconut-Oil-12-fl-oz-Case-of-6/26959214
I use this btw. Joint lasts a LONG time

What natural products are y'all using for the dandruff.
I heard selsun blue and those types of products are only temporary solutions
Coconut oil.
Deep condition the scalp with it.
How long do you leave it on for, though?I been doing that for nearly 3 weeks already. Nada

I recommend sleeping with it overnight & wrapping your head in a cotton tee (to trap in heat & also not get it all over your sheets) for optimal results.
Those forums DC recommended are money, too.
Also know that when it is colder outside, your skin is naturally drier.I been doing that for nearly 3 weeks already. Nada
You are TRYING to start something
This girl painted my toe nails like royal blue, I'm kinda debating making this a thing. I mean why can't dudes have pretty toes?
Yeah, putting it in your hair as a styling product won't really aid in eliminating dandruff as opposed to massaging it into your scalp (where the dandruff originates from).I put it in my hair and don't wash it outHow long do you leave it on for, though?

Like after my hair dries from the shower, I put it in my hair as almost a styling product
Most deep conditioners are fully absorbed into the strand within 15-30 minutes of application. However, one's that are oil-based might take a little longer to be absorbed. For example, if you have added coconut oil to your deep conditioner, I’d suggest keeping it on overnight in order to reap the full benefits of your deep conditioner.
Heat enhances our deep conditioning sessions in two main ways. Firstly, it lifts our hair cuticles, allowing all the good stuff to be absorbed into our strands. Secondly, it can enhance the absorption of the products themselves. For example, if a deep conditioning treatment is oil/butter based, heat can be used to break down fat molecules so that they are small enough to be absorbed.

I recently picked up BJCO as well.Grabbed some Black Jamaican Castor Oil a couple of weeks ago.
So far I love it.
There's a lot of debate on the comedogenic nature of Coconut Oil (the results allegedly date back to when products were wildly tested on animals and back then they weren't using Virgin coconut oil) so i've been doing some personal experiments.

massaging my scalp with the Coconut Oil has really helped with my dandruff over just using it as a styling product
Even wore a black shirt today with confidence
