Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. * S7 Premieres May27

So is J. August Richards Luke Cage or Rage? Or is he a totally new character? Whedon really keeping his role under wraps.

I still kinda doubt he'd be Cage. But I can be wrong.

Looks like they're making a Fringe Lite

Could be good as long as they don't make it cookie cutter. Build a little bit of mythology etc

And I'm sure they're gonna try to add in Colbie Smulders once How I Met Your Mother is done

I would put some small time, unknown heroes/villains in this show to keep people interested. Somewhat like Arrow, I do think it is the cameos that keeps some people viewing week after week.

The problem might be the character licensing, I am not sure how Sony owning Spiderman world and Fox owning the XMen world affects who they can put on the show but characters like Moonknight, Prowler, Taskmaster, etc... are some that I'd like to see, not exactly obscure but still relatively unknown to the public.

this looks terrible but we all know we will be tuning in

didnt notice they have the chick who played chung li in the street fighter movie in this.

You know, at this point, I believe on Whedon as much as I believe on Nolan. Plus Whedon had made good television shows, Buffy was one of my guilty pleasures as a young man, Firely (nothing else needs to be said) and Dollhouse was decent. Hell I even enjoyed the movie The Cabin in the Woods, it was a good change from the typical horror flick so he has a good body of work.

You are right though, this being a Marvel show, even if Whedon isn't involved we will still be tuning in anyways.

So they fake old boy death..

"In the pilot, it’s revealed Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the ultimate super spy, faked Agent Coulson’s death on purpose to motivate The Avengers. Some S.H.I.E.L.D. members were in on it (including, possibly, Maria Hill played by Cobie Smulders) but The Avengers were not. Their security clearance wasn’t high enough. Coulson was forced to hold his breath as part of the ruse and that’s a point of contention among his colleagues After the fact, Fury moved him to a remote location until things died down, and then he was reinserted into duty at the time of the show."

Im really disappointed Cobie Smulders aint gonna be in it. Dunno if they even asked her or she said no.
HIMYM ended so I dont think she would turn it down.
She so fine bruhs

Well, Marvel is obviously just doing this one to milk as much cash out of The Avenger's hype possible. Let's just hope they work this one a bit better, maybe a few cameo appearances from Iron Man, Thor, Captain America/Winter Soldier, Hulk, hawkeye, and black widow.

The show is purely a cash grab. With the genre being at its peak, Disney is going to milk it for all its worth.

Cobie Smulders is alright. Made that SHIELD jumpsuit look extra baggy.

like someone else said they NEED to introduce smaller time heroes/villains to really bring the crowd in.

The hooded guy is probably not rage because he didn't have any super powers back in the day when I was reading the new warriors (awesome comic during the 90's).

I really hope they help expand the marvel universe.

She's committed to HIMYM next season

If this show turns out to be the success they're hoping for, she's got a blockbuster show to join the year after.

Unless she wants to strictly be in the movies

me being a very picky horror film watcher I was SHOCKED with The Cabin In The Woods....

I loved it!

sadly we will never see a sequel :frown:

That will have to be a hell of a twist if Whedon could manage a sequel.

Maybe he makes the ending be Galactus and have the Avengers arrive to save the day.
