Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. * S7 Premieres May27

Because Ward isn't a believable secret agent, hell Coulson looks more threatening than him. That is one huge miscast I think.

I think they just wanted to go with the "hot guy" pause... I dont really believe Skye's character either. Whats a hot girl doing sleeping out of vans and dropping out for?

I actually like Skye, not just because she looks good but with the new twist of her character, I can kind of see her being crazy. At this point, I am not even sure if she part of the team or not after Coulson gave her that bracelet.

I really hope they kill one of them, fitz or simmons, the hell you need 2 smart people who can't fight on the show for? By the end of the season I'd like to see simmons(that's the girl right?) and Ward both die and replaced w/ the 1 eyed black chick and a more imposing guy to play the tough guy.

Episode was turds. Ditto as last week :smh:
I liked the first couple episodes better.
There wont be a episode next week right?

Ward does seem a bit of a tool.

They've spent everything hyping Skye (thankfully) they need to do better with the nerds. Give them better stuff to do. And agree that May is solid, I do like her. She has something hiding.

Ward probably gonna die and they'll upgrade. Least they should try that.

Yeah, since the shows been picked up for a full season, I think they're going to kill him.

It's just that they aren't really interesting, outside of Agent May. Which is ironic because you would think that the one who talks the least would be the least interesting. But aside from Coulson, she's my favorite.

I feel the opposite so far. They get Ming-Na Wen, who has some established talent and personality, and they practically give her a cardboard character to work with. Hopefully they'll start peeling back the layers and give her more to do.

The cast is just not clicking. The writing is not doing a good job establishing the characters. Skye only stands out because of her looks. Character-wise the only ones that really "stand out" are Fitz and Simmons but they both stand out for the same reasons. They should be one person. Coulson only stands out because of his presence in the movies.

Cobie Smulders should be joining the cast once HIMYM is done. That adds another interesting, established character into the mix. But they're gonna need to shake it up or simply improve the writing if they wanna make it that far.

I'm more interested to see how the show ties into the rest of the Phase 2 movies and if they keep everything in chronological order.

The extremis seems to be the biggest connection it has to Phase 2 so far, Coulson being alive is more of a continuation of Phase 1 I guess.

I have a feeling that the show will not make an impact on any of the films though, Coulson might return for A2 and RDJ takes a few jabs at him being back but the show feels like a standalone right now.

Ratings keeps dropping though week after week so even though ABC ordered a full season already, if it continues to drop in ratings, the show might still only get 1 season.

I still think Marvel could capitalize on lesser known heroes and villains to keep people interested and ratings will surely go up. I mean they get Scorch? Really? He does exist in the Marvel world but he is very obscure and had to be killed. Most interesting episode for me so far is Gravitons origin and that is mostly because of Graviton and I am just waiting for him to comeback and wreak havoc on SHIELD.

Better episode this past week..now gotta wait two weeks for the next..blah

Skye FTMW    WOW

It's a bummer that the ratings are going to drop. Maybe too many people assumed the show would have a direct correlation to the Marvel films and expected cameos from the stars? I'm hoping the show relates to the upcoming Marvel movies. The show is enjoyable though.

Its enjoyable. I like it more than any other Live action superhero TV show but this is still not great television.

Far from great. Show is straight turds. I only enjoyed the first two episodes. Everything after seems like filler episodes with dumb plots.
Ill keep watching cause of Chloe Benett, if it wasnt for her it quit after the third episode.
Hopefully there wont be a second season.

A lot of people feel duped by the show, thinking it would have direct ties to the marvel movies.

It's like hyping up an event featuring Lebron and the Heat and in actuality you get Spoelstra, Joel Anthony, and Doug, the video coordinator

I dunno how though since the title of the show is Marvel's AGENTS of Shield  not the actual heroes...It'd be like being annnoyed a documentary called Miami Heat's Front office behind the scenes and wondering why the big 3 aren't featured heavily

yah but Hawkeye and Black Widow are shield agents. Hulk is also a shield agent but I can't remember if that is a new development or not (but that shouldnt matter since it is a modern interpretation of the team). On top of that they regularly get War Machine/Iron Patriot to borrow Stark Tech all the time

They are talking about ties to the movies and in the movie only Black Widow and Hawkeye are part of SHIELD.

i havent watched the show. so i know my opinion is kinda invalid.

but if the ratings are low/or lowering and if the show is buns, i think this is a classic example of people biting off more than they can chew.

its okay for marvel to have epic movies when they only release a couple of films every couple years. but to maintain that epicness (which is what people would hope they would do) for a tv show for a full season is a tremendous task. to me almost impossible for a superhero comicbook themed show based on the marvel fiml world.

Characters don't mesh well and Fitz and Simmons are annoying and naive, they really should be one person like someone mentioned.

The thing that bothers me w/ these new shows is they drag the story out to the point of boredom. I feel that way about this show and Once Upon A Time

We're talking about the casual movie goer who's also a TV watcher. As stated above, it's the epicness of the Avengers movie that are going to pull people into this show, thinking it's going to have direct ties and cameos from the movie.

Obviously those who are fans of the comics will continue watching but it's no surprise to see the casual fan lose interest the longer the show goes without tying into the Avengers and it's main characters.

I'm reading that some of the events in Thor 2, specifically what happened in London, will be touched upon in the show.

And that the final few episodes will be linked to CA2: Winter Soldier, an interesting route to take, I hope they pull it off.

Cool..will b interesting to see how this show ties in with the movies..

THOR THIS COMIN WEEKEND!!! BODY IS READY

They should reboot this crap while it's still early to save it.

When I hear "AGENTS of SHIELD", I think of the agents in the Helicarrier featured in the Avengers and the crew that's investigating Thor's Hammer in New Mexico or even the strike team with the Black Window in India; not two kid scientists, a cute hacker and a "hot" male agent.

We need real agents, unmarked vehicles, stealth helicopters and other things that would make this more believable.

It's annoying how their logo is painted everywhere.

They should have taken this show seriously like what HBO did with Game of Thrones.

The way the ratings have trended lately there's no need to reboot as if it would happen anyway. A show like this wouldn't get rebooted. Definitely agree on your take of the show. Marvel isn't dark but a better approach could have been taken. As Malta said, it's like getting the Heat video coordinator and Spoelstra.
