Wealthy Manhattan Moms Rent Disabled People to Cut Disney World Lines

I'll admit I'm being callous, but I blame Disney for having special handicap lines to begin with. Forgive my ignorance, but if your condition doesn't make it any more difficult for you to sit and wait in line than it does for everyone else, why should you get more access more quickly to more rides than other people who paid the same amount?

I don't mind special extras for someone with a disability. And I don't mind it if the person can't physically tolerate the wait in line. But when that extra comes at a cost to everyone else, then I have a problem with it.

Granted, Disney can do whatever they want, and maybe the cost to everyone else is negligible, but the idea of a special line never sat well with me.

Accommodations and access are a completely different issue.
True...I guess there's no really good reason relevant to the situation why somebody in a wheelchair can't wait the same hour and a half as somebody in Nikes unless their condition somehow limits their time outside or something.

Ay man, I've been taught to make the best out of your situation. So if these handicap folk feel alright in using their situation to make a good buck then I can't be mad at em.
What would be bad is if it was being done against their consent, or if they were in a state where they could not make the conscious decision.

Ain't even mad. Get it how you live. If someone is willing to pay just to skip line, why not cook off of it?

People get over off of stuff they have no hand in all the time (being a woman, minority, rich, poor, etc.) 8) Deal with it

i dont see anything wrong with this. I just found my plan B if college don't work out

but really though, is there much of a difference here and time's people sell parking spaces by their houses when there is a huge event going on? if you got it you should use it. I'd pay money for a handicap parking space if i had a huge event to go to and parking would be a *****.

"Work with what you got!" "Shake what your mama gave you!" "Make the best out of your situation" "When get served lemons make lemonade"

They probably make less than a thousand month from state. So what is wrong with a free trip to Disney World and an extra $1000 a day. Not mad at all, the handicap are laughing and rolling all the way to the bank....At least they are doing something to be productive members of society. When you see that group of 6 people following someone in a wheel chair going to the front of the 45 min line, you know you've said to your self "I wish I was in that group".

wonder how everyone's opinion would change if they found out the person was faking it, and made $1,000 to pretend 8)

Smartest hustle ever.

Did this the other day about a month ago at California Adventure.  Worked out because we were 6 people got all 6 of us in for every ride in < 5 minutes.

How is anyone even mad at this? These dudes are getting paid a $1000 a day to chill at disneyworld and they're getting taken advantaged of?

Only people that should be mad are the suckers waiting in line

Its crazy that people rent disabled folks but when I took my kids to Disney 2 years ago I had one of these tour guys. It cost $180 an hour but I never waited on a line for anything. Dude carried our bags, pushed the kids strollers and got us through on every line. One weird thing was that nowhere in Disney could we find a grilled cheese and that was all my daughter would ever eat at the time. We were at some character buffet and my daughter was like "Can I please just have grilled cheese; why don't they have it anywhere?" Dude got up from the table, went in the back. Comes back to the table and says "you'll have grilled cheese shortly." All of a sudden a chef comes out of the back carrying two grilled cheese sandwhiches for my daughter (mind you, this is a buffet with no cooks).

It was awesome. I would never do Disney any other way. I never looked at a map the entire time I was there. The dude had my kids front row at every show, he had Belle from Beauty and the Beast hand my daughter the rose at the end of the live show, and had my son picked to dance with the monkeys in the Lion King show.

I had the dude for like 3 days for 6 hours a day and tipped him an extra $100 every day because I was so impressed. I remember one time after he left for the day we had to wait to get in the bathroom and my daughter looks at my wife and I and says "Where's Lou???"

Hilarious

I'm dreading the disney trip w/ my daughter, but I know I have to do it. For future reference, how do you find the tour guides? Are the disney sanctioned? There is no way I'm waiting on line for more than 15 minutes with a young kid waiting for a ride. That's torture on a number of levels.
