It's will be more of the convenient for me to use the restroom then the Porta-potty. The smell doesn't brother me. How last minute are u talking about for getting the vip ticket for ga admission. Thru ticketmaster or at the gate?

this, especially if you're not planning on seeing the early afternoon performances.
I got my Sunday ticket for $40 off CL. Great decision, I had so much fun.

Woahh nuts DC got cancelled. I already got my NY ticket, if there's no shows I'll be pissed.

They were saying how poorly the NY date sold last year while I was there. And PNC was very empty. Wouldn't be surprised if RTB is done within a few years on this coast.

Was planning to buy a last minute ticket to at least one of the DC days. But now it is cancelled.

I hear NJ is cancelled too. Lack of ticket sales?

Wow are you kidding me?!

Probably because everyone was deciding to get there ticket last minute (not srs) o well I'm still in dc so I'm hoping to party it up this weekend

I was one of the people who planned to get a ticket last minute because I've never seen a concert canceled, that was on this scale. Looks like I may be attending the drake and kanye concerts that come to DC.

My boy out here in DC that goes to school at Howard was saying that alot of the artists were canceling/not showing up for the concert

^ Yeah but that's because they weren't going to get paid.

I think for the NJ show they could've at least lowered the price for a week and see how it went.

They have to do it somewhere in NYC next year if it even comes back. I enjoyed Governor's island 2 years ago.

Co-sign. Governors Island was a great place for it. Ticket sales were low for the NJ show as far as I heard i.e.less than 8k sold. Comparatively, Governors Ball reportedly had about 30k people in its first year a few years back.

That really sucks.

What do you guys think is the reason for the poor ticket sales? Are there other events happening that weekend that RTB had to compete with?

From here they need take it back to the roots and make it a one day festival again. Once that decision is made, they can begin to trim the fat off the lineup and drop artists that haven't released new music since their last RTB (Sorry Dom). Give us one stage with one full day of incredible hip-hop sets and it'll be back in business.

Yeah a two day is alittle OD. But looking at the Line up you think RTB is the only tour that accommodates alll types of fans. I mean Kendrick Lamar(Black Hippy), Wu-Tang, J-Cole and ASAP alone should enough. I'm really surprised that there were problems selling the tickets. The price could be a factor. Lack of Promotion in the area?

WKYS 93.9 (Local Dominant Hip hop radio station) was promoting the hell out of it and giving out tickets... It was promoted JUST FINE from an urban/hip hop standpoint.

It needed better coroporate sponsorship and some catering to the mainstream/WHITE audience IMO. Maybe some promotion on HOT 99.5 (local Mainstream/Top 40 radio) or some crossover (aka to WHITE PEOPLE) marketing efforts. Let's be REAL. White people BUY the most Hip hop. I mean many of these SAME artists were at Made In America (up the street in philly) and that festival was DUMB packed.

I am also hearing rumors that many artists were backing out last minute, as many of the original acts listed on the original bill weren't even coming. Not sure if the LA/SF shows were any indicator, but if artists weren't getting their bread after those two shows, you can't fault them for not wanting to finish the last two stops on the tour.

I'm from this area, and DC and hip hop (outside of Wale and some up and coming acts) still have a LONG WAY to go.
