here's a quick edit ...

I have a SDHC and I would recommend just getting a regular SD. For some reason my SD card reader and my other cameras are not compatible with it and as far asit holding more space, you really don't need that much space if you have something like a 4 gig card.

I really only wanna use it for my d40. Just wanna know if its gonna work? And if so what are the advantages of the regular SD card?

Yeah i know....but I have some crappy Canon SD450 that I use for places that I can't bring my DSLR and it wasn't compatible. So aside from just buyinga SD card reader, I have to get another SD card. I just think it is unnecessary but SD cards are so cheap anyways.

I don't like SDHC cards because some computers don't read them. My mom recently got an SDHC to go with her new P&S Canon and she decided to get a 4GB SDHC for $15. The 2 GB SD was the same price and she didn't care. I had to get her a card reader just so she can upload her pictures. If you get anSDHC, make sure your computer can read them and transfer files with them as well.

Why don't you guys post steps on how to fix the white balance, instead of "1 upping" his own pic.

There are all handheld and I didn't break 1/13 .. explain why they are so soft - Still I'm highly disappointed .. I hate all the noise .. I thought the50D will handle high ISOs better but at 640 I got worst results than the XSi ..

C&C is always welcome ....

^ Should have read reviews of the 50D. Most people still recommended the 40D over it.

http://www.dpr....com/r...s/canoneos50d/page31.asp
Conclusion - Cons
  • High ISO performance worse than 40D
  • Reduced dynamic range in the shadow areas compared to EOS 40D
  • Per-pixel detail not as good as on good 10 or 12 megapixel cameras
  • High-end lenses required to get the most out of the camera
  • Poor white balance performance under artificial light
  • Flash must be up for AF assist lamp (although AF is good even in low light)
  • Live view not as accurate as on 40D (framing very slightly off-center, in contrast detect AF mode not possible to magnify right out to the extreme corner

open it up in photoshop, for mac (cmd + b), for windos (ctrl + b) which brings up the "color balance adjustment thing and then just messaround with the color settings there. shadows, mid tones and highlights
