My kit lens has a small white spec inside the element. Shows up in pics and videos. I thought it was the Sensor, but thankfully it isn't. Going to thestore to get the lens replaced. You guys should make sure you check everything out the first week so you have a chance to exchange it.

BTW...anyone got a recommendation for a tripod? Been checking out the Bogen-Manfrotto (ball-head and tripod combination) and SLIK tripods

ok uh..maybe i should have been more specific. im not trying to spend more than 1000 bucks...which camera gives me the best bang for my buck. i have a canonpowershot sx10is right now and i just really want a better camera. im using it for all sorts of shots, and i also want fisheye, wideangle lens and all thatother jazz....just a great allaround camera. thanks for all the feedback so far though..
