any tips?

anyone proficient with the fisheye? haha

i guess i'm just gonna flicker the terms "fisheye" and "wedding" to get some ideas

oh yeah with the flash, i'm gonna be using an SB-800, what kind of diffuser should i buy? the circle one? i forgot what it's called haha

edit: lightsphere?

From what I understand, you're going to need a bounce card, or you can make one with a rubberband and some completely white cardstock. I tried toghetto-rig one on the pop-up flash and if you use cardstock or business cards that aren't completely white the sensor REALLY picks up any yellow. I found,at one point, an awesome page that had all sorts of DIY lighting stuff. I know that you can use tissue for gift wrapping to soften the light or even use thatinstead of gels to get different colored lighting effects. Hope that helps at least a little.

So i went to my first Dodger game tonight after living in LA all my life. Was an awesome experience and will definitely be going to more of them. Took over 300pictures but only gonna post a few. Used my old Sigma 70-300 for the Ramirez at bat shots, no IS and at night so they could of been a little clearer.Haven't edited any of these since it's late as hell but i'll PS some of these within the next few days.

Fong - nice video - for anyone that wants to know how the fisheye work and the effects it gives, they should check out that video ..from a simple tilt to getting upclose and personal - I saw lots of effect to almost none ....

The pics below were my first shots with my cam...didn't have a tripod and it was night time so that's why they're blurry.

pretty are all those from the National Harbor?

Never been to the Gaylord but might have to ..

Scary thing is that you dont see one person in any of those shoots ..like a damn ghost town!

The Muhammad Ali poster on down is the National Harbor...the first half are all from California.

It was a cold, rainy Wednesday so it pretty much was a ghost town...and I Cali I shot at like 2 AM so nobody was really out there either.

National Harbor is a pretty chill spot...especially when it's warm out.

TL peeps rollin deep .. thats wassup

Yeah I was at the Harbor last weekend .. Im trying to set up a few shoots there ..

what head unit is that? i gotta find one to fit an 03 TL
Pioneer AVIC D3...but the D4 is out so I'd recommend that. I love the thing...the ipod interface is sick. Only lame part is you can'tselect video from the screen...you have to do it from the ipod. I believe they fixed it for the D4 tho.

ok guys (and gals)... thanks for all your help, im finally starting to narrow down my search. Im thinking about getting the canon eos rebel xti and it comeswith a Canon 28-90mm f/4-5.6 Lens. I also saw an auction for these two lenses...Tamron 28-80mm lens and a Tamron 70-300mm Di LD Macro Zoom Lens. Will this getmy pics looking like the person's up there^^^?

Oh and I was also looking at the Nikon D40, D50, and D60... or possibly even the Rebel XSI....any one of these a better fit than the one im looking at now. Iappreciate all you guys help... oh and might i add. the camera i have now is a canon powershot sx10is... not a slr camera. anybody can tell me how much bettermy pics will be when i get the new camera? thanks

XTi is a good camera and I am sure you can get one for a hell of a deal now that there are so many other Rebels that are out......but if you are a tech headthat likes things to be newer (3 inch screen, live view, HD video), go with the newer models instead like the XSi or the T1i. Are they better in taking photos? Not really but I am almost positive after you get a XTi, you'll want to upgrade to a better camera in the near future which in the long run, will cost youmore money. I am sure almost all of us have done in the past couple of years or will do it soon since all these DSLRs came out.

HELP !!!

How can I diffuse my flash with inhome items ? Can I really use a business card and a rubberband ??

I will most likely have to fire the flash forward since the ceiling is high and not white in color. I want the pics to still have the SLR-type sharpness andnot to be all "silvery" like front-flash pics usually are...

please I need it for tonight. any info or tips will suffice
