Unless you're like me and like having the new ishh...

I recommend going to a store and playing with both the XSi and the D40/D60. That XSi at Costco is far from a deal. It's retail.
I think we're alike on the new %!%% lol. I'm gonna go to Fry's or Costco and play around with the XSi and the Nikon D40. The onlything I hate about playing with the cameras is that there's always that one employee who thinks you ain't buying nothing, so he tells you to stopplaying with them

. Dope pics BTW.

I had an idea (not an original idea, kinda "corny" but I think a "fun" one) for an ongoing project, let me know if anyone would be interested and we can get started soon...

Basically, I went to the local thrift store yesterday looking for a unique, small, interesting, toy or figure of some sort with the intentions of photographingit and passing it on to the next NT'er (that frequents the photograph thread often) for he/she to photograph and continue to pass on (have this littlewitch go on tour)...

Is anyone interested? Unfortunately I didn't find nothing really "cool" at the thrift store BUT I did find the following on my desk...

I understand it's small (and I placed the paper clip for comparison) so I realize most pictures might end up being "close-ups" BUT you will justhave to get creative. If it helps the bottom is a magnet too.

The other concern some might have is shipping cost, hence why I thought this small item wouldn't be bad because it can probably be mailed in a small paddedenvelope (probably can be reused) with 2-4 stamps, I'll confirm. Last concern, I can see some of yall having is... letting the next person know youraddress but honestly only the next person will know it and it isn't like anyone can't look up anyone's address (if that makes sense).

Let me know, if anyone is down, wack idea or "should be fun" idea, or maybe a better toy? Let me know.

Plus we might have peoplefrom the same city.

Well guys after being a long time lurker, I finally got a DSLR. I went with a Nikon D40 kit that I believe I got a good deal through the bay. Here is a 3picture set I did since the rain in Miami killed my thoughts of going out to shoot outdoors.

I was trying to get the focus on the Sheed man and blur the rest but I believe I cant with the 18-55 kit lens. With that being said, What is a good second lensthat will allow me to do so and also should I go with a 55-135mm or 55-200mm?

C&C is always appreciate either good or bad.

It seems to me that you used a flash for this picture, however your shutter speed was higher than the sync speed that's why you have curtains .. I can betotally wrong , but thats my guess!! You just simply have to lower the shutter speed to like 200 or lower .. depending on the camera and you should be good togo ..

That's a tight IDEA especially if we can get this joint overseas and back .... HOT!!!!

I see kick was kidding and I'm glad because the only way we know where that little guy has been at is by showing him with some sort of landmark of thespecific city/state/country ...

So make sure you take one before sending him out ... lol
