Figured I'd share this. If you're in Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago (where I go to school) is having an artist talk at the museum with probably one of the biggest names in comtemporary art photography Jeff Wall and I'm pretty sure all you need is to pay the entrance fee ($7 for non saic students/kids $12 adult non-members). I've never heard the guy speak but I would go out on a limb say he's probably pretty insightful guy when comes to photography, so def. a great opportunity. And I'll be there...
Here is the Info:
Lecture: Artist's Talk: Jeff Wall
6/28, 6-7 p.m.
Members receive priority seating. Call (312) 499-4111.
Jeff Wall Exhibition:
June 29September 23, 2007
Also its going to be in SF for bit. I think it's cause he's from the west coast (Vancouver, BC) so I think the SF MOMA is managing the whole thing. So those in the Bay (I think quite a few of you...) should def, look out for this, either the exhitbition itself or an artist talk.
