^^For a real cheap tripod my guess would be a store like bestbuy or some similar store that would have more general use tripod. B&H probably has somerelatively cheap tripods and most of you guy's dslrs + lens probably are about 1.5lbs or so it's not like you need anything really heavy duty...

HDR's will come out better the more exposures you take as opposed to using 1 raw file then creating 2 others from it (overexposed, under exposed).

Yeah, I've definitely got better results with actually taking the pictures with different exposures rather than trying to do it afterwards with the RAWfile.

Although, I've just been having a fiddle with an old picture that I took last summer now that I'm getting the hang og Photomatix and the multipleexposures doesn't work too well with certain things. In my case it's a fast moving sky - I took all the pictures over a minute or so and the cloudsmoved quite a bit.

You can see that in this picture - the clouds look a bit strange:

This is basically the same picture but I used the same RAW file to make 3 exposures - you can see that the sky looks a lot better because it hasn't movedat all.

@Kd

2nd looks good bro. You might want to up the green level a tad bit but otherwise, nice pic/HDR as always.

When it just says imported its grey market product. Grey market product in this instance is basically like B&H or their distributer goes to acountry where the whole sale price of the lens or whatever is cheaper and buys it there and it's usually developing/3rd world country and sometimesyou'll notice different warranties or policy type things on grey market product that is either shortened or voided. If you ever come across a lens orwhatever that has a usa or imported issue I'd go with the usa because say you end up having to send the lens back to the manufacture for whatever reason ifits imported you might have to send it to the region of importation depending on if the company places different serial numbers on the same thing sent todifferent regions. But end of the day they're 100% the same thing.

I'm new to photography. Taking photojournalism this semester, this pic was taken with a HP Photosmart R847.

^^^Nice work. In the first two pics, the lights are way too bright. speed up the shutter speed a couple notches.

Was reading a CS3 book yesterday and wanted to try some post processing work on Camera Raw. Comments?
