Mr Fongstarr - haha I get dunks n rice alot, but basically you have to be in a dark room and put your shutter speed real low and then you can use somethingthat lights up. Thats pretty much it.
jae oh en - You got it.
lnMyMind - It's no font, its my own hand writting.

when you do those type of pics, how do you take the pic without the person in it? (if that made any sense) Like can you right out a whole word and then takethe pic? How long do you have before the light fades away.

sorryif these seem like dumb questions, Im a graphic designer, not a photographer.

^^when you do them, you basically have to keep it moving or you will show up in the picture...the one i posted is cropped but in the original, you can see myfeet in like 5 positions on the floor...as for how long the light lasts, in the first pic i posted, the J was done at the beginning of the 30 seconds..you donthave to worry about that really...

this is another one from earlier that night..my first try actually...i basically stayed in one spot when doing it and thats why im showing up in the pic...

basically what i did for the "jae oh en" was set my shutter for 30 seconds(doesnt have to be 30, the one above was 10), then had my friend hit thebutton...then id go to work..you also have to write everything backwards unless you are going to reverse it in photohsop later..

ebay- sorry for cluttering the thread with this stuff, im sure this is driving you nuts...

havent used my camera in a while, havent gone no where that doesnt involve getting drunk.

great lens. feels pretty darn cheap (for canon... dont kow how it fels for nikon) but in the end it gives great, sharp results.

it can't be beat in price either... around 80-90 bucks.

So with the 50mm....what does it actually do? Does it just give a nice balance of sharp and blurred depth to the photos? My cousin told me to pick it up aswell................

Also with the "write yo' name in the dark" think, didn't you guys have to write your name backwards and flip the image?

^^^Great sharpness wide open at f/1.8. at f/1.8 you can still get great pictures in low light situations without lowering the shutter speed to a point whereyou need a tripod. and from what i've seen the depth of focus is pretty nice also. Probably be perfect for your evening skate park shots Fong.

if u had a choice between buying a larger memory card or buying PP software i.e., Lightroom/Aperture 2, would u buy the memory card and just save up for CS3 oris lightroom/aperture capable of handling the basic PP functions?

^s0ul glo

I would buy a card instead of the software. Especially because it is so easy to get software nowadays, pm me if you need some help with that. I have bothPhotoshop CS3 Design Premium and Lightroom v 1.3.1. To tell you the truth, I do all my editing in Lightroom. To me, it's way easier, and because I shoot ina high volume (sometimes up to 1000 pictures in one session) it makes it easier to both flag, edit, and save many pictures. With lightroom, it combines thephoto elements of Photoshop with Adobe Bridge into one program. If you wanted to go really deep into editing, nothing can top PP. But for easy access tocurves, levels, color temp., etc, trust in Lightroom.

The cards are cheap now too. You can get a 2gb card from Costco as low as $20 (SanDisk Ultra II CF). I have two 2gb and one 4gb card, all SanDisk Ultra II CFs.I shoot plenty of sports for my university's newspaper, and I also shoot in RAW for other publications/self.

Right on for the info Jaw Knee. I want a fisheye lens first but I might pick that lens up next.....

I don't know.....I am having a hard time shooting stuff that I like. This was from the other day and it really was just an experiment. I actually had toscare the bird so I could get his wings up. It was pretty goofy.....

quick question, how much should i pay for a DS canon rebl xt and besides the megapixel how does it differ from a xti?

thnx in advance

Mr Fongstarr nice stuff, I like the couple of pics of that seagal nice stuff.

XT only has 6 focus points while the XTi has nine I think it has a bigger LCD screen and plus 2 MP, I think thats about it. I considered these but I think notstuff you can actually really make use of for that much plus money.
