How do you take pics like that? I've always wanted to learn how to do that.. I have a D40 btw...

its easy.

that is a four picture pano.

i took four different shots on a tripod, i shot left to right. loaded the pictures into ps and had the pictures stiched together in photomerge mode.

^ you need a tripod and to shoot on manual - everything manual - the white balance is especially important IMO.

Take a series of pics with 25% or so overlapping then PS can stitch them together. It's best to avoid too wide an angle on the lens as you get moredistortion at lower focal lengths so sometimes Photoshop has trouble matching them up.

Yeah. Right near the financial district, on Embarcadero and the Ferry Building. Skaters call it the island.....that's why if you notice, a lot ofskaters, BMX and Fixie heads chill there to just mess around.

My-T, them shots are sick. Who's the cat with the tuba though? Man, I am going to miss the Roots concert when they come to the Bay cause I have to go to awedding. Them and Erykah Badu all on one stage.....that is just one dope setup.

Everbody......dope stuff. I should start doing some more crits on peoples work. I think that was a we were all going to try to work on but never did/do.I'll start doing some when I get the chance....(I am at work right now).

just one pic for today...
not having work for 30 days and getting paid for it is awesome...but having all this time with nothing to do sucks.

Mr. Battle that ?love one is nice. Great pics overall. Lighting is A+

Fong shouldve used Tungsten for the Pier panny. It would've came out with a cooler feeling
just like Ebayologist.

Speaking of the devil... jp haha that came out REAL nice! Hope to see a bigger version.

and yeah... most if not ALL your pics are very blurry ROSS. Try pushing your finger half way down so the camera can focus
before pushing it down all the way.

^ thanks for the advice (im still new at this, so all the help is greatly appreciated

Hoping to re-shoot it tonight. It's kinda overcast and rainy so I might wait until it's a clear night because I'm not really completelysatisfied with the exposure I got. I'm not use to shooting positive (slide) film as I've shot probably well over 100 rolls of negative film butprobably only like 4-5 rolls of slide film ever. The exposure on it works inversely to negative film so it takes bit of getting use to but just looking at thefilm it looks wild... I've shot slide film (which is positive film) but never Tungsten balanced it's really something else, there's a reason itcost like 7 and change a roll I realized... But yeah, when I get it the way I want it and I'll host it up reasonably large.

But on the photography book note. I just got this in the mail from Japan today. Something most photographers and probably most NT can appreciate.

Was kindof an impulse buy as my fascination with Aki Hoshino has since died down a bit after it was pointed out by this girl I'm kinda feeling that AkiHoshino's **** look kinda awkward alot of the time, but oh well. Yasumasa Yonehara is like the Terry Richardson of Japan I've realized.
