Hey guys taking a spin off of flickr, I think when we poste pics posting some info like camera used, lense used, etc would be a cool add on that could help usnewbies to the art out.

Can anyone explain to me how to tag my photos using Adobe Lightroom? Version 1.2 Thanks, yall.

just picked up a d40 at the beginning of the month. i need to let loose because i've been holding back with my shots. don't know the first thingabout shooting so i've just been doing a lot of online reading, debating on taking a beginner's class at the local community college this summer(possibly). anyways, here's my first shorts with the thing, c&c welcome. more at my flickr

^ Dope!

Quick question. how do you do long exposures on a sunny day? /i tried this before, but always kept getting over-exposed images. Aperture was at around 11 oralmost as high as it could go... in the 20s.

thanks..

at times..my aperture was way up at f/45 and it was only 0.6 seconds even then..it was still overexposed. i had to wait until it was dark enough

great shots, qksLvrtypeS!!.. i'm actually from the Monterey area.. Seaside to be exact.. your shots doo doo on my beach shots that i posted a few pagesback

Well your lens should be able to close down more than F11 if thats all it goes down to then wow, but they make filters you can use. You want like aneutral density filter. I've never used one or know the logistics of it all but that's what you want I know that...

^well I can't seem to get every pic to load because even though I have high speed internet (not the fastest but still) there's waaaayy too many pics ona page. The last one is nice I would have forced the frame tension on the right further or less either way i think you create a better vertical proportion butits nice. Horizontally it works too, its not perfect but none of my shots are perfect either... It's nice. I mean that flash hurts my soul but it'syour steez so more power to you. Some of the other ones like stated load randomly when i refresh but of the ones I see none seem "bad" but nothingreally striking either.

Sup_

I think you're almost there quickster if you are going for the whole long exposure mystified look. I think with
this type of effect taking it as a b&w works better and gives it that nice feel.

Kinda like my friend (OG NTer) on Flickr. You should check it out. Here aresome samples.

Yeah ebay is right. They block out light which allows you to increase the length of your exposure.

Dope pics too qksLvrtypeS

Just caught your pics Jimmy... Dope man!

What beach is that? That isn't Ocean Beach is it?

Do you guys edit your pics? Cause i take pics and i could never achieve what you guys get. I mean the clarity there but the contrast isnt as good as you guyspics.

Im not talking about the HDR pics as well

does anyone know where to buy the Canon EOS DIGITAL solution disk version 14.3? i need the actual disk. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance

Okay so I got a minolta x370 slr. I've taken 3 rolls of film so far. First roll (kodak b&w 400iso) out of 24, about 15 came out okay. The others weredark due to no flash. The second roll(fujifilm 400iso) wasn't loaded properly so it was a bust. This last roll (kodak color 200iso) out of 24 only 5pictures came out. Granted they were clear and focused perfectly on the subject. The pictures were all taken around the same time in the same lightingbackground. What could have been the problem with the last roll of film? Or is it the camera? I'm starting to get the hang of aperture/shutterspeed/focusing and what not, but the pictures aren't coming out. Can somebody shed some light for me
