also is there a way you can add a border to more than one pix?
or you have to do them one by one?

u could record an action, and batch it to bunch of files. takes a while to figure out, but it saves a whole mess of time

you're most likely gonna end up buying the real one so you can have it more portable...but this book basically tells you everything you need toknow...i've read a couple of photography books and this one is by far the best...learn this book and you're camera's manual back and fourth and therest will just come to you by trail and error...also, magazines like Popular Photography and Imaging are really good...you can learn a little here andthere...plus

Read the section of the manual about spot metering. The 40D has spot metering, meaning you can use the center point in the viewfinder as a single spot to meterthe picture. Place the center point over the subject you want properly exposed, then look a the meter through the viewfinder. Adjust the aperture, shutter, andISO accordingly, based on how you want the picture to turn out.

To put the camera in spot metering mode, press the WB button on the top of the camera, and using the index finger dial, turn it until the top lcd shows a lonedot.

Here's a few pics i took today, just got my EF-S 60mm macro yesterday but didn't get to use it until today. Real random pics but the lens is verysharp.

I wasn't too keen on the bar/pole either but she was quite adamant on shooting on the fire escape and she's a very hard girl to argue with

^ perhaps if you were positioned a little more centered on the dock the picture would look a little better. Good pic nonetheless. The streaking clouds alongwith the setting sun looks really good.

^I'm surprised you haven't photoshopped any of the photos I've posted in here. Seems as though you're quite into photoshopping stuff I create.
