^ That first Pic is insane. Good stuff man!

Fong, The new rebels should be announced in January, and probably be on sale by march. If you wait it out, you'd have a more significant upgrade. A lot ofpeople are willing to bet the New rebels will have a video mode.

What's your budget? for around $500-$600 you can get a Decently fast Fisheye.

Yo right one for the info. I guess I'll wait it out and see what is in store in the future. Just sometimes you get that itch to by somethingand I just need to scratch it away and think smart.....which is probably yo buy a lens and not another camera.

Yo Bayest....dope shots homie....

I have no idea to what I'm doing so go easy people!

What can I do to improve?? I know it's a lot but I have to start somewhere ..

I was on the canon forums and this guy found a 5D for 750. I'm looking for one now myself but I'm not trying to pay more than a stack for the body

BayEST - That first one has to be one of my favorite shots I have seen in a while. Very nice!

Just one sneaker shot for now.

shots from my canon sx100

My pictures come out great outdoors but indoors they look crappy without natural sunlight, i don't get it, what am I doing wrong, whatshould I try, different ISO?

Iso, white balance and shutter speed. The lens you use will also dictate how well you can shoot under low light.

those look good
the second one looks like it is out of a magazine or a brochure, very professional looking

Are you shooting on auto? If so I would try shooting on manual and change a few of the variables.

One of my pet peeves is white balance - make sure it's not set to auto as P&S cameras don't deal with indoor lighting well. Try shooting with atripod or on a stable surface too to rule out the shutter speed/ISO problems - you can use a low ISO to avoid noise.

Post a few of the ones that didn't come out and I'm sure people will be able to give you tips.

I think when you guys post ya picture you should include what settings and lenses you guys used. It will help a lot of people up in here (I.E. ME) ...

nice pictures by the way!

^ I already mentioned a FireFox add-on that you can use to view the Exif data of some pictures called FxIF. Unfortunately, those who continue to post theirpics on Flickr don't include the Exif data.

I'm stuck on IE .. I don't use FF, I need to start ...

My second day with the camera and my last picture of yesterday. Being new to the SLR world, I don't have the slightest clue. But little by little I'mfinding out what my camera is capable ...

Basically I shot this on Manual because I have to get away from the auto (sucks) with shutter 1/8 and ISO 1600 to capture the light from the tree ..

I was wondering how important is a tripod and what other lenses are commended. I don't see how can any of you that posting those awesome pictures can dothem with the regular 18-55MM kit. Help is always appreciated and you can be brutally honest - that just make what you all are saying sink in better ..

so hey guys, i'm looking to buy a new camera. I don't want to jump into the DSLR world.

Just a nice point and shoot, I've been looking at the Canon G10 or Panasonic Lumix LX3

I've tried the G10 in the store and it looks like fun. And I've used my bosses LX3, and it's really nice.

Any other ones you'd recommend? And which would you pick between the G10 and LX3?
