You're a fool for getting up there to film. Video was dope tho, How you liking the 90? Nice blog BTW. Upload the HD file to youtube, Fong. they reallystepped their game up.

Gave my dad my Panasonic LX2 and bought myself a Ricoh GX200

. Still messing around with it but I'm liking what I'm getting out of it so far. Onething I wasn't aware of was how noisy it was when focusing. I hope it's not some defect with mine and just something I'll get over soon.

Yet to try it, I like Polaroids. It's just Polaroid 690 pack film for my Hasselblad where they're 2 1/4" square Polaroids are like 25 for a twopack (20 films total). Verses, like what ended up being like 180+ ems shipped (Camera and 100 films) after Ebay coupon and i've seen 100 film packs for lowas $65 ems shipped so just math wise saving lot of money and seems like interesting stuff. Lot of that Lomography stuff is too kitschy but they sell some nicecamera, they have like refurbished Yashica Electro GSN's for something outrageous (huge markup from Ebay prices). But I have shoot on monday that i'mgoing to use the Cheki for in NY for lil' side project so saving all the films for that. Fuji is the way to go film wise, I only shoot Kodak 120 onprojects where I started them out on Kodak but Fuji is on their %%#* they'll make their Polaroid film and regular film forever while Polaroid is out ofbusiness and Kodak will probably soon join them.

Haha! Thanks! I write kind of bugged out when I am in the mood and cranking some dumb jams and sipping a beer. I credit it to the free Vice mags I used toread a lot in college and just the humor I see on the internet. I did notice Youtube in HD only about a couple of days ago. I doubt I am going to make the jumpbut we'll see who wins the battle with Vimeo and Youtube and if I get swindled into it.

The D90 is okay so far but still need more time exploring all the features. Me and my friend decided to make a short skate video just to test the HD power. It's not as clear as I thought (well, compared ot the Mark II for sure) but considering, still pretty cool. I had to do a lot of different angles (hence meon the fence) just cause unlike regular skate vids, i can't really skate with the skater without getting all out of focus....so I had to set up somestationary shots to give it more diversity. I am happy with how it came out though and it was just fun using iMovie for once. I am going to shoot another onetomorrow at another park and see how that turns out and actually get some photos too....

Fatlace Kingpin Disco Bowling 2009 from emily shen on Vimeo.

This was a video on the Mark II that another blogger shot on Fatlace. Pretty neat how everything is just so out of focus even though that was unintentional. The length of depth is crazy. In the beginning when one of the guys points his finger at the camera, it literally goes blurry and he's not even pointing itthat far away from the focus point.

650, I think that if you stood directly under the dome, the photograph would've came out alot better. Just my thoughts though.

I have the stock lens that came with the camera 18-55mm. does anyone know off hand if that lens has the macros function?

If you're using a Canon body, you have a choice between:

Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
Canon MP-E 65mm 1-5x macro
Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 macro
Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 macro
Tokina AF 100mm f/2.8 macro
Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX macro

The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 is an excellent macro lens for those just starting out in macro photography. If you really want to get into it, the Canon MP-E 65mmhas ridiculous magnification. The 100mm is fine for general macro photos but there's a lot more to macro photography than just buying the lens. Twinflashes or a speedlite mounted on a flash bracket is usually recommended especially if natural light is not readily available and Kenko or Canon extensiontubes can help increase magnification. There's also the option of reversing lenses such as the 50mm, so like I said, macro is a whole 'nother world ofphotography.

Picked up the G10, and my dad remembered he had an "older" film camera, Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom. Its no SLR, just a compact looking camera. Lookingforward to shooting with both.

I have no idea what so ever on whatfilm rolls to get though, I just bought some cheap Fujifilm superia X-TRA 400... Any info on what film to get?

C/C Please?
