Naw TSL isn't me, but I was fortunate enough to see the footage being filmed and the writers doing their thing that day. I am in the video footage (1:54 on the lower right corner of the screen), you can see my block head there. The footage was mainly of Pursue, but Rimes/Jersey Joe and Dr. Sex painting alongside him on that massive wall.

Well, you're pretty damn lucky to get to see the TSL boys get down live and in person. The technique is just so clean that it amazes me. Dr.Sex is an interesting writer to throw into the mix. I'd love to see shots of the wall if you have them or a flickr stream.

Shot this the other day. I kept it this size to post because I thought it was intriguing being able to see all the pieces of a lightbulb.

Here are a couple of teasers. I gotta find the remainder of the photos. I dropped the lens that day due to tripod failure. So some of mypictures have small dark shadows casted on the photos cause of the small chips on the front of the glass lens so most of the photos never have seen the lightof day.

i'm really thinking about getting the 35mm f/2 to replace my OLD 50mm... it's not even a "D" series. and for some reason my pics from my 50seem hazy... why is that?

but yeah i like the 35 because it's just like the real 50 on a full frame cam.

Anyway, I don't get to play with my camera too much. I barely see daylight because of work. I'm guessing most of y'all are students with free time;you guys have some great shots. I've taken less than 10 shots in natural light with the Tamron 2.8...can't wait for summer-time. So far, I like theperformance. I considered the Sigma because of the better build quality, and i'm not going to drop $1k on a lens if i'm a beginner. notoriusWES: I didn't take classes...I had a girlfriend in high school that I spent a lot of time going on adventures with into the ghetto for herphotography class which also led to spending way too much time in the darkroom inhaling fumes and, inevitably, hooking up. Also, my current girlfriend was agraphic design/photography major in high school. I went to arts schools for 12 years so I learned from just hanging out with those kids a lot.

Exposure: 1/100
FStop: f22
ISO: 100

The effect was done in photoshop in attempt to do a sequence photo...but he was jumping around the place so I pretty much got lazy.

i like the angle, maybe bring down the iso and ec and longer shutter speed? that is just my guess, but the picture has a nice dramatic effect

my dude I been thinking about this for weeks - but been to lazy to even suggested and because people dont play fair .. lmao

I was thinking each week we have to go out and look for subject - lets say bridge - well you have till the end of the week to post your creating of a bridge -not for competition but just to admire each others work or whatever ...

the problem I would have is shooting people ... I hate walking around and pointing my camera to random people ...

Right now I'm shooting with the XSI, the 18-55 IS kit lens and the 50mm f/1.8. After shooting with the 50, the sharpness and speed has absolutely blown me away. Now, I know I won't get such wide apertures with zoom lenses (without spending the big $$$$ at least

I'm also not sure how much of an upgrade it will give me in image quality when compared to the 18-55 kit.

So my dilemma is as such: get the 28-135 and keep the 18-55 for wide purposes OR sell the 18-55 for whatever I can get (peanuts), and get the 17-40 f/4L as a walkaround? Image quality is important to me. It was like the heavens cleared once I started shooting with the nifty fifty.(Granted, I know I could also buy the 17-55 f/2.8 EFS or 24-70 f/2.8L, but right now the cash flow just aint there

. ). Any advice?

IMO you have a dilemma ..

I'm not a pro - expert or anything close to it ..

However, if I was you I'll keep my 18-55 IS and buy another chepo 55-250 IS and call it a day - if you haven't review it is the best lens for the buckand the images are sharp. Just noisy and slow and at time when zooming in the view finder jumps but its normal. You probably can find one in Adorama or B&Hfor like 200 bucks - probably cheaper than the 28-135 which I don't know anything about because I don't see many people raving about.

Now I'm going to tell you why ...

if you decide to keep the 18-55 IS because of the Wide Angle you get at the low end and buy a 28-135 IS for the ZOOM you have two serious problem IMO. 1stbeing you have to much overlap 28-55 then that mean that no matter what if you need anything below 28 and anything above 55 you still have to do a swap. nothat only leaves you 56-135 instead of 250? and the 18-27???? That's just waste of money IMO -- but maybe that's just me .. you need to read a littlemore and ask people that know because like I said I'm not an expert neither I claim to be - but IMO that's just logical but I can be very wrong. I saybuy the nifty fifty two and avoid doing lens changes just for a few MM ..

I was considering the 28-105 and 28-135 in replacement for my kit lens also, but then I bought my 430ex ii so those plans are on hold for now. I plan on havingthis by the end of the year and getting rid of the kit lens:

Canon 10-22
Canon 28-135(or 28-105)
Canon 100 Macro

The "nifty two fifty" is alright, but it's not all that it's made out to be. I got it with the pack I got my XTi in and at first it was good,but when all out, the photos don't come out as sharp as I would like. Like when I'm doing lunar photography, it doesn't come out sharp like a primelens would, but it is convenient to have.

But the problem I ran into was justifying spending $150 more on the 28-135 for the extra 30mm it has. Can anyone convince me?
