Official Photography Thread: Vol. ICan'tFindTheLastOne

clean pics, i like the one with the dog. how do you guys go about shooting random people?

just start shooting like paparazzi?
laugh.gif
or you guys ask? sorry if its a dumb question.

That's my 1st time shooting people and I had to grow some nuts to shoot random people .. lol

Some I asked - Some just happen to post when I pointed and some I just took ..

but yeah its harder than what I thought, that's for sure

BTW, what W/B was you using on those shoots .. I'm sure it was auto but let me know .. that might be the problem for the saturation ..
it's not the white balance, i know that forsure.

it's just something with the lens

idk

gabe...are you talking about the isolation of the subject in your pictures? like the background is hazy? I think thats just the depth of field.

do you want the both the subject and background sharp?

Agh, I really want to contribute to the thread but I'm having way too much fun recording videos right now.

elboricua, i like the one with the kid ducking into the subway. with some cropping, i think it'll be pretty clean.

ourtran, that picture with the tied up crabs has very nice color saturation.

im down to play that game some people were talking about. the one with the weekly assignments. let me know if anything develops.

nooo. not that.

i'm talking about the actual color.

like it's not saturated. idk. i guess there's just too much coming through the lens?

the exif are all in the originals. check out my flickr page for em.

50mm don't mind the lens flare, but if you look, it's REALLY hazy.. idk why?? this lens is pretty old, at least 15 years i think, and i think my dadbought it in hong kong.

anyone else have this camera, i know its the basic camera of the alpha line.. any lens recommendations, im about to get a the hvl-f42am flash but not sure if it would be worth it to get the f58am instead...

I have the A300, which is pretty much the A200 plus the tilt screen with live-view. Great camera. I just bought the hvl-f42am this Saturday. I coldn't justify getting the F58am.

I would recommend a prime lens, either a Sony 50mm F1.4 or a Minola 50mm f1.7 if you want to save some money. That's what I ended up getting.
You can also check out the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. That might be my next pick up.
