i know ive said it before but your progression with this whole photography thing came quick. i wish i had more time to shoot to figure out what im doing wrong.school sucks. and i think the distortion of the picture makes it look nicer

Thanks guys - I lost a lot of shoots on this location because I was using the 10-22mm and the distortion was terrible - it didn't let me stitch .. but heylessons learned!!!!

Boricua... I got that shot from a park in College Point.. all sick water pics can be obtained from city parks that's what I'm learning
And no I don't live by Shea but its close enough for me to go check out often enough (Queens is easy to get around)... I grew up going there so I wanna seeit as it goes through demolition so i try to get out there often (plus i got some memorabilia from going so much
)

Looking to upgrade for awhile now, but can't seem to find any deals.

The shot above was shot with the 24-105mm L lens and a 40D. I wish I had a 50D. One thing I can tell you is the lens is obviously heavy. I did notice somepincussion distortion (at the wide end) using the lens, but thats cause I was trying to do a lot of pano shots. I've been putting off stitching thepictures together, so I don't know if the distortion is much of a problem or not.

I like the way that pano came out elboricua. Sometimes when you keep doing the same thing over and over again, it gets played out. But I think it came outamazing, whether it was accidental or not, it doesn't matter. That's what I love about photography, you really can't do it wrong.

Yeah, right now I'm in a Pano state of mind .. lol .. Dude right now I have so much work to put together and/or edit that's incredible - however I keepgoing out and shooting and shooting and shooting and my work flow is pretty sloppy right now .. I have 100 folders 1000+ pictures .. lol my desktop is crazy....
thanks for your comments man - the mistake I did on that particular shoot was substitute the 17-55 for the 10-22 and tried to shoot the panos with that - epicfail!!! But at least my very 1st set was with that lens .. I will re-shoot again some day .. right now I'm going to the city to fill up the memory cardwith more shoots to leave in my pc ..
On another subject - do you guys know any places we can submit pictures? contest - work - recreational - etc??
