Rizobs - They are HDRs.
What's your HDR method?
3 shots with different exposures (3 actual jpeg shots, you can fake it in PS from one RAW file as well but I think you get a better result if youtake multi exposures)
I just merge them in Photomatix then use Tone mapping (also in Photomatix) and then adjust in PS with contrast, saturation etc. If needed I use Noise ninja.

EDIT: The HDR with the building is from one RAW file.

lol that picture do look funny with the distortion ... thanks for the tips ... I think the others ones came out a lot better than those and its funny because a couple of those ideas you just mentioned was exactly what I was thinking as I was editing them ... to exclude the getting closer to the pen and ink - I will keep that in mind next time ... the place is free to go in and they get work all the time as they sell all their stuff ..

that's straight from camera?? that !#%@ looks like a drawing and I really thought you did that with a HDR or even a plug in .. cool .. 1Ds IV?

Are you talking about this one??

thats 3 different shots?? the guy must have stayed mad still...or am i missing something here??

^ I think he used auto bracketing? I forget what its called, but you set the camera to make multiple shots from one shutter release and saves them as -3, -1,0,+1, +3, or whatever exposure compensation you set it to. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Only some cameras have this feature also. When I had the D90, I could find the option to do it.

You are correct Santi, what I think he is asking with a living subject is really hard to do HDR's with 3 different exposure because when they blendtogether for the most part you will see some mis alignment do to breathing, shaking or whatever - the same way if you shoot a HDR without a tripod. while doing3 exposures you tend to shake therefore making the picture look fuzzy .. so is incredible to say this guy did that hdr with 3 different exposures and its moreincredible if he did it with 3 exposures and no tripod ... cause I don't think you will set a tripod to take a picture like that .. lol

I hope you followed my broken english ..

Nothing wrong with ODing on Pano's or HDR's ... lol

but to much and you start to forget how to take a picture .. that's if you are truely doing HDR's with 3 5 7 9 shots

The new 35mm looks good but I was wondering why they only made it for DX. I'll be hanging on to my 35 f2 in that case. Here's a shot from it:

f2.8, 1/60s

what's the difference between the D40/D40x? Also, why is the 28 f/1.4 AFD Nikkor so damn expensive? 2k+???

Here are the second set from the pictures are the galleria ..

^^ the 28mm is excellent lens, but its a discontinued model so its the main reason why its so damn expensive. it became more an collectors item and its apretty popular lens so having it is just pretty much for showing off now. Unless you had it before it was discontinues.

where'd you go to shoot this at boricua? those look like dunnys... i'm into those. nice shots btw

arrgghh i should have waited for the 35mm 1.8 before i got the 50mm 1.8, would there be a big enough difference to warrant having both lenses? or should i sellthe 50mm and get the 35mm...or should i just keep the 50mm
edit: since i never post pictures because they suck, i decided to post one from my cousins wedding (table center piece) with the "nifty fifty"

auto color and auto contrast because i dont know how to use photoshop.

FlyingEMU05: You can't really go wrong with auto color/contrast/levels. It usually fixes the WB for pictures I take in rooms with fluorescent lightingwithout adjusting it on my camera. You do have to be careful sometimes-- it's not uncommon for PS to change the colors. That's usually all I do to mypictures unless they're severely under/overexposed.

elboricua 6: Really liking the second one a lot.

Bracketing it is. For Canon users its called AEB. I used -2, 0 and +2.. Very useful function when doing an HDR, you just need to make sure all exposures aresharp if you're doing it handheld. Make sure to use self-timer and the camera will take all 3 exposures real quick after each other, a must for livingobjects. (It does help if the person is still too

pretty good if that last picture was handheld with 3 exposures .. You have a bigger size?

Also for all three pictures to fire back to back a remote is going to do the work and you don't have to wait them 2 extra second especially when youholding the camera which along makes that picture more impressive if it was with 3 images ..

Max elite

That second picture makes no sense to me man .. lol .. How is the sand and people so highlighted and the sky so cloudy .. did you edit the picture?Justcurious, my mind cant make sense of it -- lol!

That's the same thing with fisheye effect - if you know something is straight like a horizon then the fisheye is more noticeable but when you don'tknow if something is straight or not the fisheye is not that predominant .. if you get what I mean ..

This is not like getting a photo published by no means but apparently someone stole my photos and gave them to put on Kat Von D's myspace. And no itwasn't me cause I don't have a myspace, facebook or any of that jazz.
