NBA/NFL Players w/ Craziest Shoe Collections

And on a separate note, looks like the black 3's are the easiest to get by far. But I'm not sure I would even call these a PE or team exclusive. I don't know that any Oregon team ever got them. I think it was just a student fan section thing and I had read they made 500+ pairs of them. I can see why they're not as rare, because you know those students sold those things immediately after getting them. College athletes would probably do the same if NCAA regs didn't stop them from doing it. Insert funny Terelle Pryor/Ohio State joke here....

A little insight.

A pair of Oregon's or any other kicks a Nike Athlete can get by simply calling his Nike rep to ask for will never amount to actling like a baller at a club.   He's getting free kicks all the time.

There are sneaker heads not willing to pay that absurd price.. why would an NBA guy who gets free kicks who makes absurd money?

As for collections.

They dont make as many PE special kicks anymore like NSW used to do for Athletes a few years back.  All you are getting is kicks before everyone else does at Retail.

Even some athletes cant get the Air Mags or limited kicks..> But know if they are on Product Contracts which most are.. they are taking hits on kicks for them and their boys.. because they want to impress their boys...

While Entertainers are getting those same kicks free as Promo kicks for Product Placement.  The days of Friends and Family SMU's are dying out.  The days of more NSW kicks as one offs showing up are whats new.

So you will see regular joes with collections to gawk at moreso than athletes...

Unless you are MJ... this summer when I attend his Camp.. I look forward to seeing what he'll be rockin..

Can I get some acronym definitions please? NSW? SMU? Thanks!

Derrick Williams rocked some of the best heat I've seen in recent years over this last season. Granted a lot of he was picking up during the season but he was still going after older releases.

Nobody has the Black Oregon 4's.  Funny everyone that has money can buy shoes but thats one shoe that cant just be bought.  I offered a DS pair to an athlete who signed a 150 million dollar deal. Told him i want 6K and he thought i was crazy.  Ive seen this dude spend 10k on a table at a nightclub numerous times.  All your getting outta that table is a hangover and a chick hopefully.  But to spend 6k on an impossible show is too crazy. SMH!!!!
Those things are probably my favorite pair of Js. I know some dude in Houston that has a pair of the Oregon 4s, all the 3s and Air Mags, just to name a few. I love shoes, just not enough to pay an outrageous price. Now if I owned them and was selling, I'd absolutely take the money hahaha. Some dude that worked for Nike.com and I were talking and he actually picked up a pair of the Oregon 4s he found in the stock rooom for like $245 with his employee discount; lucky f'er!!

Good insight. What exactly is your background if you don't mind me asking? I see your sn is Nike Dealer so... I figured I'd ask. Thanks

6K may be a little steep, but I do agree with the rarity of them. As far as numbers, they probably only made 200 pairs of those at the most. Pretty rare. I've got the Oregon IX's, but I haven't been able to get my hands on the Black 4's. I like them too. Pretty slick.

I'd say 2K to 3K is more realistic to me, but then again I didn't sign for 150mil. How'd you get your hands on those 4's anyways? Impressive for sure.
Dude I know that has his paid 4k on eBay. Too damn rich for my blood even I were loaded.

He actually did sneaker giveaways off his old Twitter account a few years ago. I think he also sold some of his collection as well.
Funny thing is he was giving away fakes as well.  He's still making 23 million this year while being out of the NBA, so he's most likely not hurting for money.  Some of these guys just don't care whether shoes are authentic as long as they look nice.
