Ya, but at the time we only thought he was being brought on to mentor DMC. Didn't think he would ever become an actual owner though. Wonder if CWebb will ever have a role in the organization.

Think about it, Mitch, Shaq, Mullin, & CWebb! All they would need is a PG. lol Too bad BJax left.

I think just a small portion will be outdoors. The court will be indoors.

From what Carmichael Dave alluded to, it's going to be an indoor arena like normal, but the concourse will be able to accommodate more people (up to 10,000?!) that can view the game as well. If that's the case, it should be the largest arena in the nation.

I'm having trouble imagining on how this feature will work but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

do kings game really sell out to kings fan or mixed fans?
In recent years, games have only been about half full since the product was pretty bad and people didn't want to support the old ownership. Otherwise, the Kings have the 2  longest sellout streaks in NBA history and have averaged a sell out 18 of 27 seasons.

Just moved back to Sacramento from SF and was wondering what the current status of the new arena is? Are people in Sacramento really trying to fight to not have this arena built???

There's a group gathering signatures in attempt to force a vote. However the group is not based in Sacramento.

The arena itself looks as if everything is on schedule and is slated to break ground next year and be completed by 2016.

Not only are they not based in Sacramento but they have signatures obtained through deceit and were funded by Chris Hansen who said he did not want the signatures used to block a new arena. Whether or not he actually stands by his word and has that enforced has yet to be seen.

We'll see if he does anything when they officially try to use the signatures to derail the arena project.

I actually hope they both start. McLemore isn't ready and Thornton is a highly overpaid 6th man who really shouldn't complain about starting.
