There was an appreciation thread and a movie thread that were both kind of being used to discuss the new season, I figured to just make a new one with all the info instead.

The new season premieres this Sunday on Netflix, where you can also catch up on the first three seasons in anticipation. For those who haven't seen the show before, it's one of the best sitcoms ever. Tons of recurring jokes and callbacks, an insane cast of characters, clever and quick witted, it has it all.

finally.. i'll probably stay up til 3 am to catch a couple of episodes..

regardless of how inebriated i may be.

I absolutely love the first 3 seasons. I hope these episodes deliver some good laughs. I don't want to be saying 'I've made a huge mistake' by watching them

The trailer was completely terrible. But I'm going to chalk that up to it being a trailer and hope for the best.

I'm surprisingly not worried about the quality. Maybe I should be but I have a lot of faith.

im just catching up and halfway through season 3 this show is one of the goats
show be having me rolling like a live version family guy

Can't wait.

Sucks we don't have Netflix over here.

Hopefully the episodes pop up online shortly after the premiere.

The creator suggests to not binge watch

“You’ll get tired!” says Hurwitz. “One of the producers came by when I was in post-production recently, and he said, ‘Can I see some of them?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, we’ve got seven episodes.’ ‘Great.’ And I heard him in the other room laughing and laughing, and then I heard him laughing a little less, and then a little less, and then later I saw him getting a drink of water and I said, ‘What do you think?’ He goes, ‘I’m just getting a little tired. I love it, it’s great, but you can’t really laugh the whole time. You have to take a break. There’s so much material.’”
Plus, Hurwitz adds, “You can’t take it all in at once. It’s like the selective-attention test. The whole show is like the selective-attention test. No one sees the gorilla! I’ll give you an example: When I was at the last sound mix with our editors and there was one of our bigger sight gags in the background of one of our more absurd conversations, nobody saw the sight gag, including me. And all we were doing is staring at the screen! What I like about the show is not that gimmick but that it gives fans something to pore over if that’s fun for them. If they want to go right back and check out the Gob episode and see how that was set up, they can.”

I'm probably in agreement about the binge watching part. There are very few shows that I can watch all at once. Arrested Development is not one of those.

I can do it now because I've seen them all, but watching it new? Ehhh that's really risky.

You can't just shut your brain off and marathon it AND catch every joke. You'll miss jokes even if you watch it one episode at a time, so I'm sure by the time you're a couple hours into it.. you'll be tired (like the article said).

I'm tempted to watch them all because it's been so long and I HAVE To  but I'll space it out as best as I can.

Nah... I'm not going to let this video have me thinking of Arrested Development while I watch the Godfather LOL.
