It's the old cartoon with the super black guy with the big red lips who can't speak proper English....shuckin and jiving w/ watermelon/fried chicken .....this is what we were portrayed as in cartoons at one point on tv or in papers....that's why the "joke" is insensitive to black people...

No. I just said it's never been proven. Probably had some jobs taken away from me because of the heritage of others though. It's all good. Affirmative Action is fine. Yet it doesn't happen,yet. We all wish it did but the truth of the matter is that racism has become so institutionalized that it appears to be normal now even when it isn't because we look at how far we've already come and think that there isn't any racism left instead of working on completely eliminating it.
I'm with you though 100% on deading race in the big picture but we can't just act like its problems don't still exist.

I'd be awfully interested in looking into whether or not there's a history of discrimination against minorities in these counties as well as the current demographics of the labor force. I'm sure all qualified whites are out of work and/or under paid.
