In deciding between Lavas and Aus it's not really a like for like choice. The Lavas are a classic CW that mean a lot to anyone who was into tennis in the late eighties. I was 15 when they came out and playing juniors and going to Wimbledon every year so prime audience so of course they mean a lot to me like many people on here. The Aus CW means nothing to me but as a collecter they are a great collectors piece. Classic style but in premium Materials and unique detailing. I'm not going to wear the Aus in the same way I have not worn my Wimbledons but I will wear my Lavas if they ever turn up. But for me they are two different concepts. I'm not saying one is more worthy than the other just different. As always buy what you like for whatever reason you like.
Lavas>>>Aus. There's no other choice. Build quality is exempt. It's about when we were kids.
Yes, exactly.  Obviously, it's a very subjective thing, but to me, I felt Nike could have done better with these 'commemorative' releases.

Take the Oz's for example (cuz it's really the first ltd-ed release since Agassi re-joined Nike.  I've probably talked about this before, but while the "championship-years" on the tongue was a nice touch, the "1036" on the heel for "total games won at Oz"?  Really?  Anyone who watches a fair share of tennis knows it's a completely arbitrary stat that isn't really significant.  It just felt like Nike found the biggest-looking stat out there and slapped it on.  I would have rather they put little Challenge Court flaming balls on the heel like what they do for Rafa and Fed.

Of course, then there's the fact that Agassi never played Wimbledon, the USO & Oz in the ATC 2's.  If Nike really wanted to do an Agassi commemorative pack... all-white (proper) Air Challenge Huarache for Wimbledon, Air Flare for the USO & Air Challenge LWP for Oz.  The Roland Garros model could be up for debate as he won it in 1999 (finally) in the not-as-popular Air Zoom Beyond.

Don't get me started, just don't. You know I'll go off
man shut up, u don't have the ability to go off
Ur some dirty dude asking me for a favor, going back and forth agreeing to a trade and then talking about me on this forum(not mentioning my name, but still). Also talking about how you are trying to buy the sneaker when we had a transaction in place is also dirty.

2 dirties dont make a right
yup, son texted me after over a month of not talking to me(which is ok, but still ), asks me to cop the shoes for retail, which I'm with cuz I'm in the area. Proceeds to talk about bred 1s asking me about em and if I want to swap em for the Aussies. I say ok and then a little small talk. Five minutes later he's talking about not doing one sided favors (which I was gonna do for him no questions asked on the Aussies, instead of what was a pretty even trade) and wants to pay cash for the shoes :smh: that's what got me tight, then **** talking about me on niketalk and trying to get me to go to Staten island to do the trade(which he assumed I wouldnt and tried to back out that way . I was on point though and said I'm coming asap, he backed out again). That's basically the story

How long does hanon usually take to ship?

They used to get things out within 24 hours, but I'd say ever since 2011 or so, on big releases that sell out quickly they take their time to make sure that they send it out correctly. Once it actually ships you should get it within 2 days if you paid for express or a week for the slower service.

Appreciate it man, repped.

Most Euro sites dont take long to ship out your items. you should be more worried about how long it takes to clear customs :x :smh:

After reading a few recent comments, I've decided to sell off my slams. I only like the Wimbledons anyway. The "1036" on the Aus ruins the shoe for me, and the US's I can't stand anyway. I'm going to double up on OG CWs, and leave it there I reckon.

No doubt, my gammas sat in customs for over a week. I know bad lieutenant bad lieutenant had his sit there for a long time as well. Not complaining though, nice to still have the option of ordering overseas which probably won't be true for a lot of sites soon.

If had to pick between the slams it would be the wimbledons unless the french opens copies the concept that reebok did for the court victory french open edition. :nthat:

Sinner Sinner brought up a valid point in another tennis thread about the "1036" a few weeks ago

you're so close to "Career Grand Slam" when most on here is trying to get one  why part with it now?

I would sell them off if you end up not being able to get the french at a reasonable price though
