That's really bad. Those side panels or way off. I dunno mang, personally those would be sent back. We pay too much to settle for crap quality like that. What a shame. Expecially on such a classic shoe for them. Sorry to see that.

I asked three "non-sneaker" people to look at the back and side of the shoe and tell me if they noticed anything wrong. Nobody said a thing, asked what they were supposed to be looking at. When I pointed out the splatter on the sides, one person said "yeah well who the hell sees both sides of your shoes at once?"

Another commented on the back left shoe: "who cares...if you lean to the left, that one looks straight and the other shoe looks crooked."

good people...I'm keeping 'em.


It's just not worth the hassle...eBay seller wants 20% return fee, plus I'd have to pay return shipping. If these hit FTL (who actually carries my size 14) and sit like the turbos...maybe I'll try again later with a disco.

D13 is right. But at the end of the day, even heads won't notice tbt. Because even they wont look at your shoe like that. But D13 is right, cuz YOU will still know.

They would go back if it were me just off principality. But I dont have those size 14 struggles

But that comment does give insight into why QC at NIke aint getting better. That poor chinese kid is more concerned about his $1.35 a day than they are concerned than if the Nike Air is straight enough for sneaker nerds.

Believe me, if it were NDC or something where I could send them back and get a new pair...I would. But 14s, 15s are not easy to come by. Doing the math...it would cost me $184 when all was said and done (there is one more pair of 14s on eBay), but what guarantee is there that the next pair would be any better? $184 for Kumquats? Nahhhh

She had me rolling too...but it helped. I thought, "you know what...you're right

" F it, I'll keep 'em.




Plus if you look back in the thread, some guys who got the Royals early (from Asia I think) had similar problems. And they paid more than I did for quats.

How tall are you? Cuz I had a size 13 shoe that I got by accident. Looked at the shoe and thought "Good gawd, you'd need to be 6'5" just for this to look normal".

Part of the reason I started rocking smaller shoes, besides not wanting to do my laces, is that I dont like how shoes look above a size 10-10.5 on my feet being 5'9" to 5'11" (no IDK my height. according to the rulers on the doctor's office triple beams I am 5'9" but my family swears on their life those things are inaccurate).

'Quats came today. Quality overall is better than the turbo green experience...but the back of the left shoe is a bit wonky and as usual, the outside splatters are mismatched.

The OCD part of me wants to go "ZOMG need to get a different pair" but 5 pairs in...this is pretty much what to expect.

i thought my Quats were defective because the Nike Air in the back on that left pair is also misaligned

atc2's have all kinds of quality control issues pair to pair. don't buy them if you don't like gambling is my advice.

Well it looks like someone got the Wimbly 2s in size 11, 12 and 13 from the Suede Store and put them up for "auction" for $550 - $600 each. Additionally a size 12 Frenchie for $415 from Bstn Store up for auction as well. All from the same seller. Kinda sad thinking they snagged them just to flip them around and possibly sell all 4 for $2,000.

Trainers are actually a McEnroe shoe, but Agassi wore them for a short while before the Air Tech Challenge 1 came out. I can't remember if he wore ATC1, but Orange Burst ATC II is also a McEnroe shoe. He also wore Air Challenge Huarache.
