🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD - ATC II 2024 Hot Lava “aged” retro 🎾

I think there's no way that those are US Open's. As I mentioned before the reason last year's shoe was black was because Nike did an "own the night theme". The Open has always been a tournament where players wear loud colors.

True. but the wimmies were white and green so are this years. Us opens last year were black and blue.

Black and blue has nothing to do with the US Open. The blue represented the court and the black was to represent night matches. Wimbledon is green, white, and purple. You'll see, the US Open's will not be an all black pair this year. Besides the fact, when have you ever seen a slam sample surface this early if ever?

It is wayyyyyyyyyyy too early, expect to see something (if any) the week of the release as usual, I mean like the last FO and wimb

Everything else should be pure happyness for those who likes what they see.

I don't like the so called all black with Navy but the one with the white sole is not that bad, I still prefer the Black/White/mango though...

What other colors besides white and green are they supposed to use for Wimbledon?

I was just about to mention the purple but these guys beat me to it. If you watch or attend Wimbledon there's many other colors used on the grounds, such the gold around the Royal box (used on this year's Wimbledon SPs), and there's also a great amount of khaki and navy blue worn by the officials and ball keepers.

Nah I've never watched Wimbledon in my life. /s

My point was when you think of Wimbledon you think of white and green.

When you think of wimbledon. When people familiar with wimbledon think of wimbledon purple and green are the first two. Probably in that order. Whites a given for wimbledon, tennis, and atcs for the most part. More recently the navy blue has shown up. If there's another wimbledon gs of any of agassi's kicks watch out for purple.

eh....I've been watching Wimbledon since I was a child.....White and Green are the first two colors I think of when it comes to Wimbledon.  White may be a commonality when it comes to tennis, but Wimbledon's White-Out requirement takes it to another level. If anything the white requirement got stricter this year.

Not opposed to Purple on the sneaker at all, but even though the logo is purple and green I'm not complaining about Green and White.  I think the purple would have to be subtle to FEEL like a Wimbledon shoe since the players are required to wear all white

Sorry i might have overreacted when i read the previous white/green posts. My point is that of course, there is a white requirement at Wimbledon - which is why the Wimbledon 2s might not even be allowed on court. But since theyre a commemorative colorway of a retro shoe, and not necessarily meant for on-court use, especially on the pro level, they probably arent meant to conform as much to what a player would wear on feet during a match, but rather are meant to pay homage to the tournament itself and agassi's wins.

Because purple is such a prominent color in Wimbledon's history, insignia, and official uniforms, it is very likely that the color would be featured on another wimbledon gs.

Yeah I realize it's a commemoration and not something the players would wear on-court; I just feel that the symbolism of white sticks out more to me than the purple does.  But hey if the next Wimbledon GS has some purple, I won't complain.

The Wimbledon 2's definitely would NOT be allowed on court, especially this year.  There was already a stink thrown when Fed had orange soles on his otherwise all white sneakers last year.

It was Nikes " Claim The Night" theme.. which was discussed months ago in here

The concept behind Wimbledon 2 cw has been discussed as well

and come on NIKE drop these gingers.
No doubt!  These need to be retro'd ASAP... but please don't call them "gingers"!

And regarding the Wimbledon colors... if you really wanted to make a Wimbledon-crest colorway, then this sorta makes sense.  Definitely can't wear them on-court, but I think some of the stringing staff was wearing them.
