February 14th. I've already told the Mrs. That I've cancelled Valentine's Day so I can get these.

also it could just be the positioning of your pic, but the lava behind the tongue looks like it creeps out on the 08 as opposed to the 14.

The pink coming out of the tongue was the way the original was.

never understood why they could do the logo on the apparel but not the damn shoe.

I dont know how you guys like leather linings or insoles. They look cool, but on foot complete opposite. Too warm for my taste, and not comfy. Thats just me though. 

Nike continues to break my heart. Need to just forget ever seeing a decent ATC retro 08 Lavas may have been the closest (fugly toe, but it wasnt perfed and shiny, plus you could cop for $30..that wont happen now!). 

They have butchered trainers, that last chlorophyll was so bad it sat in a hype driven market.  If they cant do a Jordan retro these days with some tact, then I guess I shouldnt hold my breath for them to do a proper ATC.

Im probably extra sensitive because growing up I couldnt afford them (yeah, im old). This little fat kid had every damn agassi release, and the hot lavas I especially wanted to jack off his chubby effing feet. He was a snitch though. Fat beaver lookin mofo. 

Anyway, glad that those who wanted them copped, or the newer guys who weren't in the hobby in 08 or beat there pairs or whatever. I still have a 08 pair to unds, one day. I just think its funny how so many "OG" "collectors" I have seen on social media calling the lavas their grails, etc. Dudes looking in there late 20s early 30s. You couldnt swing the heavily dicounted 08 pairs? Or the pairs that were under 200 on ebay not that long ago? I mean, I sold a worn a few times pair not long ago for 60 bucks and almsot felt like a dirty reseller, so they cant have been THAT hard to find. Meh. Thats the way it is these days, adapt or be a dinosaur.

Sorry for the rant, just the state of this whole culture can be something else. Hopefully the vultures leave soon, becasue there are def some good new cats and some good old heads that would be appreciative.

Yea there's no question that the 08 is 100x closer to the original. The tongue looks really cheap on these 14's and that back heel :smh:

You can get two feet in a single '08 shoe, due to the GIANT toe box. That's the main thing for me. The grey is nothing like the OG on the '08's either, whereas the '14 is almost the same. There is much less banana shape on the new ones too. The tongue will be under my jeans, so that doesn't matter to me at all. I much prefer the overall shape of the '14's.
