I dunno that's just always been my thing one to stock and one to rock. Did it for my ATC hybrids back in 08 to..i bought one to rock then luckily found a sample pair in the outlets for $40 and kept that on ice. I bought two pairs back in 08 one to stock and one to rock...no hype whatsoever on these back then...Grew up watching the guy on tv cuz my dad and uncles played tennis...but when i get my pair next from footaction ima do a clear comparison pic between the 08's and 14's.i'm curious...for those of you putting up side-by-side comparison shots of 08 to 14...it makes me wonder...do you ever plan to actually wear either of these shoes? i mean, you have a pair from 08, which is 6 years ago. or do you just like collecting them and forever keeping them minty?
don't get me wrong, it's your money, and you're obviously free to spend it however you see fit, but i personally just don't get some folks who buy shoes/sneakers but never actually intend to wear them. you know the materials will eventually fall apart right? wouldn't you be distraught if say the sole of your shoe separated over time, but you never got to wear them?
or do you guys do the double up, 1 to rock, and 1 to keep "on ice" method (which to me means you'll eventually rock that minty "on ice" pair after your initial pair gets beat down too much and gets retired)?
again, this is just for my own curiosity's sake. just trying to understand the minds of some of my fellow sneakerheads...
