🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD - ATC II 2024 Hot Lava “aged” retro 🎾

They look like GS, but I wouldn't be shocked if they did that. I'm more annoyed by the tag on the tongue than the sole.

I thought Agassi was supposed to bring truer retros :smh:

I have a 08 pair I wore once, and I'd get a pair of these on heavy discount.

U got that right , the game is a lot different now than 5 years ago unfortunately , I remember getting the lavas and the air flares from finishline for $99 for both back than , those were the days , I need some flares to retro right this time

Normally I would agree with that statement but if they look like this current version :smh: maybe only the lavas sell out from new hypebeasts who don't know any better.

I doubt the sneaker blogs will pick-up on the differences.  They didn't do so with the Air Challenge Huaraches.  As far as they're concerned, "rejoice, they're being retroed!"...

As these won't have the Yeezy-outsole, will the beasts still care?

My Agassi collection. Man when the ATC 2 came out in 08 had to cop asap when I saw in finishline. Brother copped s second at finishline as well. 1 to rock 1 to stock. A lot of sleepers on these back then...now the game dun changed...smh. Should've copped ATC hybrid wind runners in '09 made a mistake. Gonna try to cop 2 pairs of og color ways or close to OG color ways in '14.

^ No, that was misleading... an absolutely piss-poor comparison job by The Shoe Game, IMO.  

They were comparing the retros to an OG GS ATC3.  Of course they were gonna look different.

The ATC3's were, by no means, perfect, but that comparison-job was very unfair.

The yellow was off and the flaming-ball was gone (both critical elements), but at least the shape and fit was close to what I remember.  And at least they got the outsole closer to the OG's than what we're seeing with the Air Challenge Huaraches.  And I'm talking about the general-releases... not selected PE's.

Good looking lineup right there.
 
Those are definitely GS sizes because they have 6 lace holes as opposed to the 7 lace holes in the adult pairs. Plus the outsole is molded differently. Believe me, nike wouldn't go to far lengths to ruin a retro by molding a new outsole. Plus, the suede pack and US opens proved that the OG ATC sole is still here.
 
Lol I remember holding out for lavas to hit dirt cheap last time and then just forgetting about them. I'll grab a pair this time.

Man, ATC's retros had it rough. I got the 2008 Hot Lava's and I love it. I wouldn't mind a GS size for my wife, but those pics isn't going to cut it.
 
There's just no way that Nike could be releasing these like this in men size. You can definitely tell by the proportion of the shoe so I'm not worried yet that they will mess it up. But I have my 08 pairs either way. They should be releasing the ATC I's first since they haven't been retroed yet.

hopefully the new version of the lavas have a better fit than the 08's

the 08s had a super crazy arch that my foot just couldn't rock with if i remember correctly

Once again I think this is an overreaction by everyone here. Why would nike use the original sole for the ATC II Wimbledon/US Open/Suede pack, then all of a sudden just change it for another release? I know people like to jump on the "nike done ******-up" bandwagon, but come on guys. The sole swap on the ACH makes somewhat more sense (not that I necessarily agree with it), but if they were giving PE versions a certain sole, they I see why they would change it.
