The French Opens are down to teh below 300 range on ebay. Should be even lower when they people who waited for their shipment to arrive before posting on ebay post their pairs.

Im gonna see if I can trade my Aussies for them. After seeing them irl I decided I liked them more.

I really hope bro. Helped some people out big time this summer, not expecting anything in return, but it just sucks when I don't resell and I strike out on stuff that I want to keep. Oh well, just been having a terrible day all together so I hope that it just gets better soon lol.
 
I helped an NTers mom cross the road once and then I helped him cop shoes for himself and his father who I also helped when I surgically removed a brain tumor with lace tips.

I get the buy, sell and trading being banished from threads outside of the Buy, Sell, Trade forum but what can be construed as an "OOP"? Clearly this thread has been littered with OOP references in the past and those have been ok with no warnings.

This mornings FO release came out of no where and nobody knew about it at first. An OOP in that instance could be a link to the shoes which clearly would have been a meal because the general public didn't know about their availability. So is an OOP a link to the product with nearly a 99% chance to eat or is an OOP a Direct Sale with a NT Member?

Should we PM everyone in this thread for an OOP opportunity or go to the Buy, Sell, Trade forum and post our desires in hope that someone in this thread happens to visit the B, S, T Forum? Just wondering what an OOP is exactly. Because it sure isn't the Buy, Sell, Trade, Oop Forum. :smile:

So the falling ebay prices are a testament of people not actually liking these because If they still only dropping in NY that's pretty limited. I'm tempted on to cop for 250

Cheapest size 12 is $320 shipped. So I'm not really seeing the lower prices people are talking about. :-/

An "oop" is a direct sale between two members.

Personally, "oops" are a very good thing, but when a lurker, or a new member with bad intentions decides to offer, or ask for an oop, then once money is exchanged, files a PayPal claim, or as a seller keeps the $$ and walks away... Then what?


We as staff try to keep the "oops" out of the regular forums to avoid the bad things that can happen. In the buy sell forums, we can kind of help control it a little better.

just to understand correctly... If i would have asked this morning if someone is willing to help me out, because i am in europe ?! Is that ok or not ? When it is not, how are you suppose to know that someone needs help or is able to help ?Should you have asked the questions in the buyers and sellers forum? Just curious.

Exactly. Doesn't matter what side of the pond you're on either. It's a real disconnect. You build a rapport with these guys in the Agassi thread but you have to ask them in another thread when they don't know to go there to view it. I guess you have to PM 20 people to go see your request.

Wait can't we do signatures with our request?
 
The term "oop' as in alley oop means an assist. I think on here it means helping someone get a pair. At least that how I always interpretted the phrase. A few weeks back when the non champ pack release I added to caart for some Nt'ers and logged into his account. I didn't buy them I just helped them get them in their cart. 

Most of the time people oop people in the same thread they talk to on anormal basis, or secure pairs for other members that they know want the shoe and is willing to pay for. So technically it can be done via PM, or if you are really in a helping mood you can buy  pairs and go to the B.S.T. and let em go for retail + shipping.  I would of loved to wake up and found my size there for $175 or $200. I guess the best way to get an oop is just to llok out for others and hope they look pout for you. Being a sneakerhead is a full time job.
