I spoke to six different shops today, who did not get the Hot Lavas, and three of them told me they were expecting them, and due to shipping delays they would likely get them next week.  Don't know how much stock to put in that, but maybe it gives some hope to those who haven't yet found a pair -- myself included because I need that elusive size 13.

Ebay pair came in today.  A few minor quality issues but definitely very similar leather to the 08s.  The tongue feels thicker and has nicer material than the 08.  Same for the heel.  Overall the shape is much nicer on the 14, particularly the toebox. 

I liked the matte lava print on the 08s way better. Also the plastic side pieces feel flimsier on the 14s. 

'14 wins IMO

Thanks for the review. I have a spare pair of 08s i have been sitting on for awhile now. If I am not able to track one of these 14s down for retail I will throw the 09s on this summer and be good.
