my cement 4s leather is very disappointing.

  The "leather" on the Lavas is basically the same as the 08's...which is to say that it's not really leather.  The OG's were made out of white Durabuck, as were the last retros and these appear no different.  They look fine to me.  I'd say these are closer to the Fire Reds than the Cements, but I really don't know for sure.

  I'll be back in a few with some catalog scans of what to expect through the Fall.

Here's the catalog stuff for Spring and Summer/Fall.  This is all that's in there, so I wouldn't expect those slate blue/orange ones to pop up anywhere unless Nike QS's them.

Yes I do and the materials/build quality of the 2014 lavas all around are very similar IMO with the 2012 IV retros.

  I tried to go through the apparel catalogs to check, and didn't see anything.  That said, the apparel catalogs are pretty dense, so it's possible I could've missed something, but I don't think so.  Only stuff I saw was for Federer and Rafa.

  I'm as surprised as you on that one.  As much as they push that "Sprite" colorway on everything else, that one seemed like a no-brainer.  Oh well, maybe if these do well, we'll start seeing some more of the true OG stuff.  I wouldn't mind seeing some black-based colorways on this model, either.

i can't see nike retroing the white/blue-red with checkerboard pattern as it is a dated look...

but if they want to release another high-quality colorway (like the grand slams) - why not just use the original white/black-grey le? too dull?
