This jacket was so tuff. I remember I wanted it so badly when the Lavas retroed in '08.

Another sneaky release-
Having spoken with a number of retailers who received these (via email)- it seems these were a true quickstrike- retailers were not aware they were coming-nike just dropped them without prior warning. Also most stores received only one size run or there abouts.
Nice to see the return of a real quickstrike- no hype built on blogs- just straight up here ya go- and only those lucky enough to have a finger on the pulse or swing by a store grabbed them.

I've been hoping for some apparel to drop with the shoes but it's not looking to good on that note

Usually pretty easy for non-RSVP releases there. Walked in to get the powder blues around 11 AM with no issues.
Can't imagine if you are there before 12 that you will have an issue.

Thats what i was thinking as well... if i recall they did the us opens and I think that was the only place in the US that got them unless I missed something....

This seems to be a true tier zero release.
On a wider scale than Wimbledon and us open - yet seemingly similar numbers of production- just very different distribution.
I would not be surprised if 21 mercer received these.

I'm not copping. I like the shoe but I hate white soles with a passion. I'll wait for a black based colorway or at least a translucent sole.

One of the local boutiques I frequent told me they were getting the Lava's but assuming that that's the pair most everyone is debating on whether or not they will release in the US I'm beginning to get a little skeptical. Especially considering they told me they would have them next week and it seems like the few stores that are receiving them are releasing them this weekend.
