There are already comparison pics a few pages back. We have surmised that '14's>'08's apart from the lava colour.

Yea I do really like the quality on this '14 version.  The leather seems nicer than my Vintage QS Bo trainers.  I will have to pull them out and see for sure.

Damn, people really are losing their minds and paying those outrageous prices for Aussies? I like them and all, but damn. Hot lavas mean way more to me, so that's all I needed.

I will semi lose my mine for us opens though.

Stay optimistic!  I think only true heads really want these, so if we don't pay these crazy resell prices, they have to drop at some point.  Plus there should be some more pairs put into the market (not a lot but some).  Possibly this weekend in the U.S. even as 21Mercer got the ball rolling like usual.

You won't see the ATC slams sell for less than $300. It's supply and demand. Not that many pairs made.

I'm salty I missed out but must be losing my mind to cave into resellers prices. I ask for a damn favor and get a lot of "I'll see what I can do".

Meanwhile they don't know what the shoe is, they don't know it dropped, I sweeten the offer by offering a lop-sided deal and all of a sudden it's "oh yeah I got them, what time can you meet?"

I got a thing for those colors. Knicks made me a softie for the orange and blue.. Add in a classic silhouette and I'm drooling.

Yup! Colors are more accurate, Lava design,tongue, gray straps, etc. More important to me.

To the people who say the '14's are better: do you currently have a pair of '08's to compare to? Because the color differences are really noticeable in person. The glossy paint on the '14 is bad too. And while I agree that the toe looks better on the '14, the shape and proportions of most of the rest of the shoe looks less true to the original to me.

I sold my 08s a few months ago when I saw the new shape on the 2014 samples. I really only wore them like 10 times due to the terrible shape. I'm gonna wear the 14s to death. I agree about the lava print but everything else is better on the 14s.
