Apparently, Mac & other players got these "hybrids" back then (as indicated by VSBabs over on TT), but I agree with you.  Fair enough that they had those PE's back then, but for me, I had those GR OG's and that's what I remember them by.

I was able to order a pair of the Zoom Vapors 3M. It's a nice contrast to switch off from both the vapor and the atc

they didn't yesterday but you can try.... I don't know if they any pairs left under 8.5 tho
 
^Thanks for the update. That 7.5 will likely be sold before the end of today (to someone who really wears a size 11).

Yea but I'll be shocked if someone can prove Andre wore the hybrids.
 
I'm glad that I was able to get some pairs. Especially before the resellers got their hands on them. Had to have these.

Both of those are filthy.  I'm a purist and usually not a fan of Nike venturing from OG colorways, but both of those are spectacularly simple and clean.

McEnroe wore them at least. The only reason I said that is because I wanted to quell everyone's rage about it. I mean I wasn't happy about it either, but this makes me a lot less upset about it. Honestly, I was copping regardless haha. I was just glad Nike was nice enough to retro them.

Also I know it is easy to hate on Nike, but maybe they had some legitimate reason for doing this? IF they were putting the ATC III outsole on them for the professional players, that must have meant there was some advantage to those soles that the regular ones did not offer. That's just my two cents.
 
Pissed it was a NY only release but it did make sense, I'm just happy these are just coming back out and I hope in GR numbers.. :smile:
