I saw him tweet some pics from that interview, but they didn't show his feet. Nice.

Back again after 3 month absence due to work stress! Anyhow Fed is rocking those FO ATC on Eurosport tonight.
Just have a general question for all the old tennis heads in here (apologize if this has been brought up already in the thread, haven't read thru the whole thing)...Awesome to see Fed rock the FO ATC but I was thinking in 20 years will the next tennis great be seen wearing retro Nadals or Feds? I don't have a full recollection of young Agassi cause I was too young but from about 95' and on I was a fan then when I got outta HS Nadal/Fed took over the mantle for Agassi/Sampras for Nike.  My question is after Nadal and Fed are done playing do you think will there be the same kind of nostalgia and admiration over Courtballistecs and Tour Vapors as there is over the ATCs? And also just wondering since I'm sure lots of you guys actually play tennis if you collect the current line of Nike tennis shoes or just play in them.

In my opinion, I don't think so.  The Challenge Court line not only made an impact in tennis (at the time known to be more conservative), but also left its mark on non-tennis watchers.  Many who didn't watch were still able to recognize Agassi for his loud colors.  I think it's also fair to say that a lot of the kids back then who wore ATC's casually didn't necessarily play tennis.  They were relevant to the non-tennis community.

Fast-forward it by about 15 years, into the Rafa/Fed era, I don't think we've see that many people wear the Vapors or CourtBallistecs casually.  Plus, it's also at a time where loud colors and designs for sneakers are a very common thing.  The Vapors and CB's might actually be a bit conservative vs some of the other kicks out there.  I think for people to wear them, say, 10-15 years from now, they'd likely be fans of either player... assuming Nike will even retro them then.
