🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD - ATC II 2024 Hot Lava “aged” retro 🎾

Everyone has different taste. For example to me Quats are way better looking than both Wimbledon 1&2 for sure and the god awful Aussies. To me there's nothing appealing about the GS series other than USO and FO maybe. If Wiimbs released in US as a GR, I don't think most in here would care much and quats would sell faster and wimbs would sit. I'm sorry. I think it's the whole "QS" "limited" thing that's got dudes dropping hundreds over retail for em. At the end of the day nothing trumps the OG CWs of the ATCII. Quats do a great job in capturing OG mystique IMO. I believe had quats been apart of the GS series, you "grand slam boys" would be all over em lol. I remember when quats were on everyone's "must have" list in this thread until they found out they weren't limited. I find that ironic.

I don't remember anyone saying the kumquats were limited, Nike did some of us a favor and drop the Wimbs 2 the same time as the quats. So those who wanted the GS joints went for them, especially if the quats are GR material. Why rush when they will be around for awhile, I got my pair Monday joints are on point. Looking to double up pretty soon.. Quats that is

i'm pretty sure most of us knew the kumquats were not limited

in my case i put the kumquats on the back burner since their release coincided with the Wimbledon release

i know I can always double-back and find the quats later on, but any GS you pretty much have to watch like a hawk

True in a way. I understand that GS have hype behind it but as a sneaker "collector" I would like to have sneakerss with a "limited" tag on it. Not knocking OG colorways, I have a few myself, but I wouldn't mind adding more limited sneakers to my collection. Different strokes for different folks.

Interesting points.  I agree with you that in many people's minds, limited supply = must have.  

Personally, I love the Aussie Opens and French Opens.  I grew up as a huge Agassi fan and these particular GS models do a great job celebrating Agassi, whereas the US Opens and original Wimbledons focus on the tournaments.

Good point. I def think USO and FO are dope. I remember being salty about the USO release. Wanted them so bad but they were basically unattainable for most including me. I was relieved when they released the Lavas which at the time was all I really needed when it came to the ATCII. Sorry I called your Aussies god awful bro :lol: they're cool. Looks like they're made with good quality material, cw just not my speed.

Not sure what that comment has to do with you not understanding simple terms like silhouette, or comparing the retail price of one shoe to the resale of another.  

The last line of my post clearly states I have no problems with opinions.  Selective reading is not a good quality to have on a forum.
 
I copped the hybrid chilling reds the other day too, all around quality is nice but the laces are atrocious, so cheap looking, definitely in need a swap, contemplating whether i should stay black, go red or try and match the  tennis ball logo ( which would be fresh IMO)
