Naw, the demand for the Tech 2 has a lot to do with the Yeezy's. The hot lavas rotted on shelves. I actually should have gotten another pair, since they were like $49.
Soon as Yeezy 2's come out they jump to over $200? It sure as hell ain't Andre or him coming back to Nike that's doing it, because you can look at the other retros and those prices aren't close.

you guys are comparing a special edition super limited release to a GR original color retro a couple years ago when sneaker hype in general was less intense.... let that marinate for a minute. plus nowadays resellers will buy anything to try and flip, creating false demand
and your comparing eBay attempted rapists BIN prices to what people are actually paying, probably not equal
if OG colors start to retro I honestly don't think anybody would have a problem getting them for retail. I love to complain as much as the next sneakerhead but this is a stretch if you really THINK about it

Nobody is comparing limited edition to sneakers to a GR colorway. Do you even know what the discussion is?And that's what people are actually paying. Maybe you should actually follow some auctions, so you'll know what you're talking about. I've followed auctions because my boy was thinking of selling his, and I was shocked at the price.
Again, tech 2's aren't the only Agassi retro, but they're the only retro that's going for well above retail.
There is no false demand, if people are paying for it. That's actual demand.
You can see searches for auctions over $150 with multiple days left.

150 for a deadstock shoe that retailed for 100 in 2008 is hardly "hype" it doesn't matter what kind of shoe it is

and yes, people are blaming the demand for the US open atcs, that dropped at a total of 2 stores in the world, on the yeezys. read the posts for yourself
