Thinking about Buying a Hybrid Car Vol. Ya'll whip Prius or Nah? - Page 2

Prius C is hands down the best looking Prius. also, Lexus mad another hybrid before the CT called the HS or something like that. it didn't sell well so they discontinued it, but you could probably find one used with low mileage for fairly cheap compared to a brand new CT. I was considering a hybrid as a daily driver, but couldn't really get myself to get one for whatever reason. gas savings would have been nice, but I guess that just wasn't that important to me.

the chevy volt is growing on me.

In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony wooden seats, but because I am enlightened by my own squatting.

I doubt anyone buying a hybrid would care about a 10 second 0-60, but on the real goddamn that is slow. Hows merging and whatnot? I have a pretty heavy foot when I drive, my Camry's MPG must be in the high teens. mean.gif

It's obviously going to be slower and that's where your mpg's kick in especially in city driving when your constantly in EV (electric only) mode.

No one said these cars are fast. Just an alternative for people who needs something different.

I wanted to stay in the Luxury class, while saving gas and being more economical without driving a hybrid that looks like a spaceship...

That being said, I have no complaints with my CT

Yeah but that 0-60 time is atrocious. You'll barely be able to maneuever on the freeway. Speed and power isn't everything but it is important.

Like I said, Turbo Diesel is the way to go until Tesla can get that electric technology to be more affordable.

You're right, I can never maneuver on the freeways when I drive everyday. (Sarcasm detector) LOL

0-60 is slow, but it aint that damn slow...

Plus with the CT, there are 4 modes of driving. EV, ECO, NORMAL, and SPORT

I had my doubts after driving BMWs all my life, but after a test drive I fell in love...

The Lexus dealership gave me a loaner CT hybrid when I dropped my IS off to get the timing belt changed a few weeks ago. The CT is nice looks, comfort, build, etc. wise, but that car is too slow for me.

I thought about that, or having a GTI or Golf, but at the end of the day it's just too small for me.
