WNBA might be gone soon...

Women's sports are great and in some cases more entertaining than the men's version. Basketball, however, is not IMO. That said I wish the WNBA all the success since it is great to see these girls be able to play pro

WNBA is trash.

Aint nobody tryna watch a bunch of slow, clumsy players miss layups whether it's men or women.

There are nowhere NEAR enough people with this mindset for me to fathom the WNBA being a long-term thing.

Yes, I know how long it's been around. I remember the inaugural season.

And I'm surprised with every new season.

It's still a man's world, and we (collectively) don't care about women's sports unless they feature a bunch of Playmates wearing as little as possible, or even decent bodies wearing spandex.

Miss me w/ that. What you want from women (in general)  is clouding your vision and justifying your excuse (speaking to a general audience, of course).

wait. how would people with this kind of mindset help the WNBA? "i respect you but im not watching" oh cool, does that bring the WNBA any money? can they pay these women in respect and support?

Because the opposite of this mindset would be "Let it shut down. It's no hair off my back. It has no value to society." I also think Ska is referring the sponsors, investors, team owners, league officials, etc. that have the largest roles in determining the fate of the WNBA.

well how many poeple do you know who say "nah i gotta go home im trying to catch this Sparks and Mercury game." or "im trying to throw a little get together tonight to watch the wnba finals"

never.

70k isnt bad. The good ones get sponsors and maybe some acting roles, some over seas.
 
Every year a thread is made about how boring the MLB is to people on NT so I'm not sure why Ska is surprised people find a league boring.
 
Honest question...do the championship teams get victory parades in their cities?

When I moved to DC a few years back, the Mystics had an ice cream social in my apartment building....no one attended.

What could really help the WNBA is creating a fantasy basketball league and partnering with Yahoo. I'm conducting a study to start a WNBA fantasy basketball to promote WNBA fandom.
