At their start they were a social club aiming to convience black people back into a condition of servitude, then AFTER Forrest "resigned" they became very violent. The current clan is from the 1980's, possibly the fourth (or third depending on who you talk to, post David Dukes era). They were at their worst in the 1950's-1970's. Really dude? I dont care how they started out. I care about what they have strood for, for decades. They killed, maimed, and lynched people simply for the color of their skin. But Im supposed to let them cook though. FOH with that B.S.

That's like saying the Vice Lords who early in their existence established a number of recreational areas for neighborhood children, as well as a number of other community outreach programs, should be allowed to "cook" regardless of all the other B.S. they have done over the years. I think not.

Gangs are really no different than the KKK. The only difference is the KKK kills other races due to their warped view of reality and the gangs kill their own race due to their warped views of reality

My dad lives in Memphis and he was telling me about this in February. What happened is that the Memphis city counsel was receiving complaints from the community, and proposed the name change of the three parks. Then apparently one of the KKK members caught word of the name change and contacted some members of the legislature in Nashville about it. That is when the state legislature proposed a change to a ordinance that would make it illegal to change the name of any state park without first going through a long and arduous process. I believe this was on a thursday or a friday, and a vote was scheduled to take place the following week about the issue. Then the memphis city counsel called an emergency meeting over that weekend and changed all the park names before the legislation could pass in Nashville. KKK members were furious about it and no later than two days later, the Klan members had already bought a permit to come and protest he name change.

I have a problem with the whole "whiteness" paradigm, the simplistic critiques of "white supremacy," and the fiction of a homogeneous "white privilege." But it boggles the mind, as it did for Du Bois, how poor whites, living in three-wheeled mobile homes with rusted aluminum siding, themselves speak of a singular "white people's history," of which they have been written out of. Whether cast as the "rabble" by the elite formulators at the Constitutional Convention, or the "scourge" of the white race by Madison Grant and Lothrop Stoddard, poor whites and their Mississippi and Memphis descendants continue to blame their material and gendered anxieties on the "negro." 

By contrast, that a common enemy (the KKK) has the potential to bring together warring sects, is a positive.

:lol: You don't know what your talking about. What an ignorant statement, read a ******g book before you drivel some ******ed **** like that again, equating the KKK and the Black Panthers. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if most white people share the same uneducated viewpoint.
