Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

Going to be there 9-12th. First single and all homies trip! Looking up hotels now. Such a pain to be the coordinator. Total of 5 of us so I'm trying to figure that out. What are these hookups i keep reading about? Bottles, rooms and such

Went to Vegas the week of Thanksgiving and had a blast!

Stayed at the Mirage...awesome hotel! Although though the Mirage is an older hotel (opened in '89), its beautiful on the inside with lots of amenities and dining options as well as top notch customer service. I had a strip view room on the 23rd floor. Highly recommended.

The area in which the Mirage is located was great because its next door to Caesars Palace & Treasure Island; across the street from the Venetian and Harrah's; and a few blocks from the Fashion Show Mall and Wynn/Encore. Lots of action in that area.

Anyway, while in LV I visited damn near all of the major hotels/casinos. My favorites were the Venetian, New York New York, Aria (that place is amazing), and Caesars Palace.

I would say that the hotels with the best atmosphere and ladies were Aria, Cosmo, PH. I found myself going to that area the most because there was so much action over there.

goin jan22-25th for the AVN award show.......anyone ever experiece it and the afterparty?

and what clubs do yall recommend for Thursday nights? thinking about going to Drais

I'm currently in the middle of planning a bachelor party for my cousin

Planning on going Friday March 20th-Sunday March 22nd (first weekend of March Madness), staying at The Cosmopolitan

It's gonna be a group of 18-20, so we're gonna avoid the club and bottle scene. Plus we're all from LA and been to Vegas multiple times so the clubs and bottles are nothing new. This is pretty much a chance for the bachelor to have one last care free weekend with his closest boys

The Preliminary itinerary so far is:
Friday: Get to Vegas, check in, and just chill for the night and walk the strip
Saturday: Looking to rent an indoor court for a couple of hours so we can hoop in the morning/early afternoon, gambling/betting on march madness/drinking, Group dinner at night somewhere good on the strip, In-Room entertainment for a couple of hours  or a strip club if that falls apart, and whatever else we get into
Sunday: Check Out, maybe hit up a buffet before heading back to LA

My question to you guys is does anyone know of any hooks regarding a good steakhouse on the strip?

And does anyone have experience with hiring strippers for a private show in the room?? PMs are more than welcome

The budget I'm working with is around $6650 if that helps clarify things.

What's the best (also easiest) night to go to XS for a Friday-Tuesday trip? And would I be ok in black jeans?

The good news is it's open every day of your trip (it operates Friday-Monday nights), but Sunday and Monday will be the easiest entry. The "best" night is all relative. You can have just as much fun on a Sunday as a Saturday. It all depends.

Also, even if you have pre-sale tickets, you'll likely be funneled into the GA line. Tip any bouncer the going rate that night to skip the line. You'll still pay cover, but you'll save yourself an hour or two, depending on when you get there.

Jeans are fine. The most important thing is your shirt and shoes. Wear a collared shirt and decent shoes.

I gotta make Vegas my next easy trip outta Charlotte. Last time I was there was in 2012, I gotta get back this year. But this time I wanna check out Old Vegas aka Sinatra...

Edit: Just saw Kaskade is playing on Saturday so that all but assures I'll just wait until Sunday to check it out haha.

Cool, thanks for the insight. I'll probably check it out on Sunday night.

i'm curious to check it out.  i take megabus regularly.  last night went on boltbus to check it out though and found that $3.50 ticket and jumped all over it.   it was the last one too, when i checked the site again tickets for that same bus trip were $25.    i paid $6 to take megabus back from vegas, that monday after the weekend so all in all $9.50 for a round trip to vegas.  i'll probably book a room on expedia later this week.

if you got a flexible schedule, go on megabus and bolt bus and mess around with the dates and times and you'll find some dirt cheap fares mixed in there.

i've seen a few $1 tickets from la to the bay from time to time.    i paid $10 to go to sf when i went to a 49ers game back in november.
