I enjoyed it. As mentioned above, there are no casinos so its more quiet and family-oriented. That being said, it's still close to Aria and Cosmo
Nthat) so for our group we preferred the proximity to the aforementioned spots without the foot traffic.

my thoughts exactly but the more i read about the tickets and what it takes to be ringside not to mention only 1000 avaialble to the public got me not liking my chances
either way they should be up long before the fight and i can plan accordingly

4 years ago i went to Mardi Gras in the NO. I flew to Vegas from New Orleans for a wedding.
The Vdara was just what i needed. i would make sports bets and just chill all day in the room

Vegas has rules about watching PPVs at places like this. places that you are used to showing it like buffalo wild wings and hooters aren't allowed to show it.

thanks for the info. I have my hotel booked and about to book the flight soon. I don't want to get caught sleeping on those closed circuit tickets.

I've been told that u can't order the fight on PPV in your hotel rooms. Last Mayweather fight, I went out with a friend to a buddy's house off strip to watch it since I couldn't score decent tickets

When I went to vegas during the mayweather v.s. canelo fight 2 years ago bars were charging $20-$40 to watch the fight

I would rather sit my *** at home and watch the fight than go to Vegas and not be there seeing it live. Everything on the strip is going to be dumb expensive and packed.
Looks like I will be going June 11-14. Might switch it to stay Sunday night since I really want to go to a Nightswim, last year we went it was a few weeks before they opened it for the summer. Right now looking at staying at the Venetian but one group booked a room at Monte Carlo. Anyone stayed there before or have anything to say about the place?
Also for the guys posting about where to stay with a big Bachelor party group. Last year I was part of a dual bachelor party and we stayed at Treasure Island. Had a Tower Suite with 2 other connecting rooms each with 2 queen beds. Had 3 roll aways moved up as well. Between the beds and couch space we slept 12 people fairly comfortably and the tower suite was a nice place to congregate and party, plus it having 2 bathrooms was nice with that many people. Plus you are going to have people that get so drunk they pass out on the floor. The 3rd night there I fell face first into the ottoman while acting like a fool for some chicks and passed out right there.

I've stayed at both. Venetian is obviously better but mc is cool if ur trying to save a few pennies.
Bachelor party I firmly believe needs to be at palazzo Venetian.

Drove in from LA, arrived around 9pm on Saturday
Stayed at Hard Rock for the first time
Got the room for free and while the place isn't bad at all, I wouldn't stay there again unless its for free again or I was on a real tight budget
Went to XS Saturday night, Diplo was spinning and it was a good time
Tinder in Vegas
Only gambled Sunday afternoon and left Vegas up $500 from blackjack
Traffic back to LA was brutal
Successful weekend overall though
Drove in from LA, arrived around 9pm on Saturday

left LA after work friday night.. didnt get to vegas till 1am... gambled sat morning and came up 4 hunned on BJ.
sat night partied with Lord Disick and Mally Mall at 1oak.. my dude scott was a mess, screaming all over the mic. strait comedy! lol
sunday put 4k on the Barboza/Johnson fight... found out on my way home I lost it all... smh.. i was hoping to head back in the next month or so and collect.
good times were had.

Few years back when I used to go to Vegas regularly, I remember driving from LA and getting there past midnight on several occasions. Always thought, it won't be so bad getting in so late but every time I regretted it because I felt like I didn't get my weekend's worth
Also, it's weird now, like, I can't ever drive there or drive back. Will only go there if I fly. The traffic at times either way can really eat at my soul especially if I have to drive back. Esepcially if you start to get annoyed with whoever's in the car with you. I vividly remember the last time I drove back, sitting in traffic for like 7 hours or more the whole time I was sweating in the car even with the AC on thinking, NEVER AGAIN
This fight sounds really intriguing, my real down friends and fam were down from the jump and they don't mess around when it comes to Vegas. A bit worried it'll be out of hand though, I mean the last big boxing match I was there for was Floyd vs. Canelo and I felt like it was all a bit much. On the other hand this is one for the history books, would be cool to say I was in the area

This is correct, I don't think hotels have PPV for fights, I know for a fact there were a number of hotels that weren't showing the Floyd Canelo fight when I was out there

I left Vegas on Sunday at 6, didn't get in my apartment in LA till 1:30 :x
The traffic is bad enough and throw in it was raining and even hailing in some parts and me and the homies were ******

i either fly or take the late night megabus back and just k.o on the ride back which is easy for me to do. i've done some spur of the moment trips recently where i paid about $3 round trip on megabus, got a night at planet hollywood for cheap and just spent a day drinking and gambling because i was bored and had nothing else to do that day
