Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

thoughts of vegas for july 4th?

It's not that big a deal. It's too damn hot compared to MDW and LDW, so it doesn't get the same crowd as those holiday weekends (the 4th is a long weekend this year). Also, it's one of those holidays that people like to stay at home for, for BBQs, fireworks and such.

I'll be in vegas on MDW With 20+ homies for a bachelor party. Should be crazy.

Doing tryst and rehab for sure. Prolly 1oak too. My first time in vegas so it don't even matter what we do lol.

My exact thoughts on going to LV on fight weekend. Some of my boys are heading out, I passed because I don't want to deal with the madness.

I'll be there for the Aldo/ McGregor and that should be a lil wild. Only date that worked for bachelor party.

Will be in Vegas for May/PAC weekend. Going to omnia on sat. Then night swim at xs on Sunday. Should be crazy.

Without a signed agreement, a single ticket still has not been printed and tickets to the closed circuit viewing of the fight at MGM Hotels also have not gone on sale. A source with knowledge of the talks said that MGM proposed on Tuesday to be allowed to start selling the closed circuit tickets and any public tickets to fight immediately, with everything else frozen as talks proceed.

Contract still isn't signed, forgot about that.

I've been twice and both were great trips.

Big crowds but not too big and prices were reasonable unlike other holiday weekends.

It is f'n hot as it's the middle of the summer but the pools were still amazing as usual.

It's worth going if you don't have great plans back home and you plan it enough in advance where you get reasonable prices.

But Vegas during the summer is amazing every weekend so if prices aren't good then do other weekends as others have mentioned

For those of you going on fight weekend, clubs are slashing prices on some events. Kaskade on Saturday at XS is now $50 (instead of $100) for guys. Krewella on Friday at Hak is only $30 for guys.

Thanks. I'm still trying to decide to hit a pool party Sat or two night clubs Friday. Already bought tickets for Krewella at Hak Friday, and Afrojack at Omnia on Sat. I really would rather see Kaskade than Krewella.

What up yall!

Does anyone know how to go about watching the MayPac fight in Vegas?

I'm a rook, so I have no idea whats going on. I've been hearing people say that you can watch it on MGM properties via "closed circuit?"

What is that? And how can I get down?

Closed circuit is supposed to be $150. I think I'm going to invest in a sling box and watch it in my hotel room

Nah that's not entirely true.

There are a lot of places (casinos/resorts/parks) that throw Res, White and Book parties.

Any of yall have comparrisons between the "D" and the flamingo seem to be right next to each other but "D" is half the price and i saw better ratings?

Never stayed at the Flamingo but the D is really terrible. Would advise staying anywhere but there honestly. Room looked like it hadnt been remodeled since the 70s and smelled terrible

The D is downtown on Freemont. Definitely not anywhere near the strip.

Have heard the Flamingo Go Rooms are the most recently remodeled and the ones to go with. Also next door Ballys has their Jubilee rooms which are supposed to be better, Flamingo has a better pool though if that is something you are interested in and their Go rooms come with a fridge.

Yeah, the Go rooms are pretty solid. Dirt cheap (relatively speaking) and the pool complex is nice.

I'm booking a trip for July soon, pretty set on Wynn or Flamingo, 3-4 people including myself, the other 2-3 people may or may not go, if I book the room as 1 adult, do I have to pay additional fees to add the 2-3 people to the room??

Also I noticed you guys are talking about buying tix to night swim etc.. is there a website that lists spots that need ticks vs. paying cover/guest list? thanks.

Always book for two adults. You can ask for extra room keys later but never claim more than two per room. They never check

No club requires presale tickets AFAIK, some just are easier/less hassle to get in with presales.

Wantickets.com covers most clubs, the rest can be on the clubs actual website

That's quite a disparity in hotel quality lol. If those are your two choices and you don't mind paying for it, definitely stay at the Wynn. Three good-to-great nightclubs on site (Tryst, Surrender, XS), plus Encore Beach Club.

You could also check out Venetian/Palazzo which has the pullout sofa. Sleeps 3-4 fairly comfortably in one room.

Just a heads up as well. We booked the MGM grand premier queen and got up upgrade offer to executive queen for $20 per night. Seems pretty standard as a lot of people have been getting this offer. Gives you a room that is almost double cost normally and has a couch area with a pull out queen. Good price and option for staying on the south strip.
