Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

Bout to touch down in Vegas for the first time.

So this room upgrade trick is ...

Take a $20 and place it between my ID and CC and ask if they have any upgrades avaible ?

Staying at the Aria for reference :nerd:
We had two rooms at the Vdara, slipped the guy $50 and he moved us to the 2 bdr penthouse.

Doesn't work all the time but worth the risk to me.

Has anyone had a table by the pool at Drai's at night?

We have a big group so I dont care about foot traffic but wondering if the music is still loud out there.

There shouldn't be a risk. They should be giving you the money back if there isn't an upgrade available

Because I get a massive discount staying at the hotel $59/night for a king suite. There's nowhere you're getting that deal anywhere. The Uber is nothing. All about checks and balances, I rarely gamble when I go as well so the casino aspect isn't needed. Strictly a party trip usually.

Congratulations. The overwhelming majority of people who go to Vegas don't get such discounts. And, for years, I've had to read about people talking about how they're "saving" by staying off the strip. I just illustrated how that is completely and utterly wrong.

Do not push the narrative when your situation doesn't apply to literally almost everyone else.

So what happens when you forget something in your room or you want to go back for a quick rest or whatever?

$20 trick worked :pimp:

She apologized for not having anything Better but upgraded us to a nice room which would've been an extra $30ish a night.

I've been seeing ads/sponsored posts on FB/IG for Jewel nightclub in Aria opening soon. Whats good?

I'm leaving tomorrow @ 2 AM for Grand Canyon from LA and Vegas afterwards and coming back on Sunday... hopefully its doable.

Anyone stayed at Mandalay Bay?

Anyone been to the Foxtail?

Already doing Drai's and XS Nightswim, looking for a cheap hiphop spot besides Chateau, Tao etc.

Just to add my $0.02 but there's no way I'd stay off the strip. I'd even turn down a comped room off the strip. Convenience means everything in Vegas. So easy to walk out from your room to the strip. No need to wait for a cab/uber. Who wants to waste time with that crap. You're there to party, gamble and have a fun time

One more thing, make sure everyone stays at the same hotel. Otherwise you'll spend a good amount of time just trying to coordinate and meetup with the rest of your friends. I learned the hard way one trip. Never again

Its between drais and sls foxtail for MDW Sunday pool party...

Makj is spinning at drais; gotti, ty $ and Wayne are at sls.

Had a BLAST with an upstairs vip at drais last year. Have a bungalow locked down for this year at drais but might change due makj djing.

Anybody ever heard makj spin? He any good?

Man Drais was fun as hell when I went last year. Can't wait to go back.

Makj is a pretty good DJ
Mixes trap, hip hop, and edm.
Then again that was at a festival setting not at a dayclub so I dunno what he plays at the club.

Nope. Haven't heard much about it either

You consider 1OAK?
We did 1OAK last year, had a table rt next to the DJ booth.

I don't know if it was a bad night but there wasn't a lot of talent in there. And the vibe was just different.

Feels like Drai's has taken a lot of the high end hip hop clientele.

That is possible. It wasn't at its best when we went last year.

Can't imagine Foxtails being that great but never been. Just don't hear much buzz about it, never hear anyone talking about it.

Might be better to do the hip hop room in Omnia or Hakk

Yea I haven't heard much either. I might be intrigued cuz it's reminding me of Lavo for some reason, and we had the best random night ever there

I never liked doing the small room of the big edm clubs. My boy mentioned Omnia tho, I'll look into that too.

The small rooms can get hot and crowded. I've never done a table in one but have had great nights with the majority of the time spent in them. You're just not going to beat the talent at tier 1 edm spots.

Lavo was dope sometimes but it also has a much better location.
