Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

Both my best friends are in Vegas now and even tho I got back 2 weeks ago I'm still jelly. September or October hopefully :frown:
 
Nt. going to Vegas for the first time for a friends bachelor party.

Coming in Thurs midnight from NYC, staying at MGM Grand Marquee suite.

Plan on getting a Daybed at Wet Republic and showing up at 9 am to avoid any lines. (since we're right upstairs).

Might skip on Hakkasan cuz it's too new and too hyped right now for reasonable BS
Probs doing Tryst
Everything else is up in the air. Any suggestions?
 
With a daybed just hit up the host and see what time he wants you there. 9AM is hella early

For more reasonable BS I would look at 1OAK, Surrender in addition to Tryst. Tao as well

When are you doing Wet? Friday?

If Saturday is open do Encore Beach or Tao. EBC is the best out of the big ones while Tao Beach has easily the best deals on Saturdays.

I'll let others speak on Daylight, haven't been yet.
 
Daylight is the **** too. Its more hip hop than house though. Very social setup too. Met TONS of girls and had like plenty of options that night for clubbing/smashing.
 
a girl from NY is coming to visit me in cali and im going to take her to vegas for her 21st b day. was supposed to go with a group of roomates but looks like everyones backing out
any experiences with just you and your girl in vegas? always so much fun in a big group, never been with only one other person

Will probably sound strange to most, but outside of going with family (when I was under 21), I've only been in Vegas with my girlfriend.

We always have a good time. Hang out at the pool, some gambling, good dinners, and hit up the bars and maybe a major club one night

9 is probs early but I think we want to actually just chill poolside and maybe get in. I heard that the pool gets nasty as the day goes on. (makes sense, bunch of drunk ppl not giving an eff and not wanting to wait in the bathroom line) Wet is Friday btw.

Good looks on 1oak tho. Seems like everyone here likes it.
 
man that was the marquee section at edc..

but if you get a table i usually always rock a t-shirt to xs/light/marquee/hakkasan as long as your lookin alright in some chucks or loafers your cool not to keen on js like LA clubs

Most of the fun in Vegas doesn't come from the clubs, it comes from the foolishness that comes from the hours of constant drinking with your boys :lol: the girls are a bonus, but meeting up with the crew for me is just 2 days of straight comedy. What makes it better is running into people from all over the world and all the weird @#$ people that come through and clearly don't belong :lol: If your friends are the quiet type though then Vegas is not the place for you

Can someone confirm that Day Light is more hip hop than EDM?

Did someone say that 1OAK is more likely to play hip-hop than most other clubs?

What kind of music does will.i.am play?

I'm going August 20-26th, any suggestions?

I've only been to Daylight when Eric D-Lux was playing and it was 95% hip hop. The music might be different with other DJ"s.

1oak is also 90% hiphop/rap. Cracks EVERY time.
 
Looking at the calendar, Saturdays are straight EDM. Fridays, I have no idea who DJ Stellar is, but he spins at Light (which is all EDM), and he spins at Daylight with bigger names.

So Sunday is your best bet for hip-hop at Daylight.

Will.I am does open format.

1OAK is probably the best open format/hip-hop club in Vegas right now
 
Best EDM clubs - XS, Light, Hakkasan, Marquee, Surrender

Best Open format clubs - 1OAK, Tao, Tryst (check the DJ), Haze, Lavo (Sundays)

Best pool parties - Encore Beach, Wet Republic, Marquee Dayclub, Daylight, Tao Beach

Best hotels (personal opinion considering niceness, location, atmosphere) - Palazzo, Encore, Cosmo
